No doubt about it, we knew he had a twitchy trigger finger where managers were concerned when he came in we have to accept that I think

Lets be honest, the big man has made mistakes. Feels like the press would love us fans to pile in on him. I was glad no one i've heard on talksport etc has thrown maranakis under the bus.

Imo despite the mistakes, he is still the best owner we've had and i back him 100%

Wot do you lot think?
The best in recent years, sure.

Doughty's heart was in the right place (no irony intended), but the club was badly run back then. We kept letting contracts run down and sold strikers who were top scorers in the second tier to clubs who got promoted thanks partly to their goals (Stern John, Marlon Harewood) - without even a sell-on clause to soften the blow.

He’s certainly taken us on a magic carpet ride. We’re all just hoping it doesn’t turn into the Arabian shites.

It’s difficult without knowing exactly what went on with Nuno and who is to blame for that , because that’s where it all started.

On the one hand I admire his passion and he clearly puts his money where his mouth is. And I do think some of the criticisms he gets are borderline racism.
But…..
He did get rid of Nuno, he did appoint Ange, he appointed the people responsible for our recruitment, especially the Jan window just gone, where you assume we got none of Dyche’s targets.
History of falling out with managers?

But… if social media is to be believed the players didn’t like Ange and didn’t like Sean.
What’s he supposed to do?

I think he will share some of the blame, but I do feel a bit sorry for him. I think he’d been let down a bit.

How will he react to relegation?
Hopefully he doubles down.

Totally agree with Radders

Best owner bar none, although I'm guessing there are one or two on here suffering from Marinakis induced Blood Pressure issues.

Some people spend their Billions on Super Yachts and other extravagancies, he spends his on not giving a fuck about what other people think.

I bet it would be great working for him.

All football owners are so corrupt, incompetent and dishonest they make reform MPs look like saints, the big guy is a caricature of all football owners, the mess that is this season is almost (but not completely) of his own making and he is going to have to pay through the nose for it.

Unlike Fawaz who was just a complete tard I think like Nigel Doughty his heart is in the right place he’s just made ridiculous decisions and has too much faith in idiots but that’s consistent across football that has been rotten for a while and appears to only be getting worse

I for ONE remain calm BUT nervous about the whole thing the Brie is chilled and the beer is room temperature I shall be looking EAST whilst not ruling out the Irish

Very, very angry and frustrated with what he has done to us this season

But categorically support him and what he has achieved, and trust his motives if not his judgement

There certainly isn't a better owner out there for us

I only ever want a European. There are a lot of predatory American or Chinese owners out there that I wouldn't trust with holding my pint, let alone my football club

100%

He comes across as genuine, and I will take that every day of the week in front of the likes of Beohley and Kronke.

As much as we are hurting you know he is hurting just as much.

Yep. For all the shitshow of a season we have had and all the blame he has to shoulder, there are very few owners I would take over him. Bloom at Brighton, Benham at Brentford and that’s about it.

I wouldnt go near either of those two.

That fact that it is illegal for players or people closely associated with the game to bet on games and those two do what they do is scandalous.

Benham owns Matchbook betting exchange; how is that not a conflict of interest?

What Bloom does is far more serious.

He runs Sarlizard Betting which rakes in around 600m a year for their investors; that is actually betting on football games.

Honestly it’s not even a debate for me - everything he does is to bring us success. Even the stadium, he realistically knows that he probably won’t be around long enough to reap the rewards of the additional income to the point where it will offset the cost to build it.

That’s fair enough but I am talking about as a club owner. They are the only people I would consider. Marinakis himself is seen as a shady operator so I am not too sure where lines are or should be drawn…
