Cracking Pompey Chimes as ever Dave.

I was frustrated in a way once again on Saturday BUT took more encourgement away with me than anything. IF this type of thing keeps happening week-in-week-out again at Fratton nothing would have been learned from last season.

I DO think we looked, all things concidered, a better side that looks more likely to break sides down and the Baker goal (something out of nothing) was a positive.

We WOULD have lost this last season I reckon.

Chimes will be missed next weekend Dave without a doubt, always a pleasure even if I don't get to comment - same applies to others I'm sure who ALWAYS enjoy what you offer up.

Can only base my views of the weekend game on what I heard and it seemed we were comfortable enough in the win with the three-points the main thing.

Plymouth will be a huge challenge, notice Bradley got a hat-trick for Argyle on Saturday, well two-goals and an own goal with him a candidate for the September Player of the Month so he's doing well in Devon so far...then again he started well for Pompey too!

As for the EFL Trophy, 'doomed' I think best sums things up - whatever the next move is the one made this season completely devalues the competition and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't carry on next season, if it does the damage is done!
 
Three more points as Pompey close the gap, one hundred up and retire plus Crawley and Graham Taylor ...
