Summer Transfer Window

It looks as if we met the 400k compensation buy-out clause in RM’s contract then, which will probably be funded from the transfer fee for Matt Grimes.
His coaching team will also come with him - Assistant Manager Luke Williams, Goalkeeping Coach Dean Thornton and Technical and Strategic Development Coach Matt Gill. Alan Tate will remain as first team coach.
Which leaves no room for Mike Marsh and Martyn Margetson, regrettably the latter as he is a top goalkeeping coach.

This one went under the radar a bit.
29 year old winger Jamie Paterson comes in on a free transfer from Bristol City and is eligible to play tomorrow against Blackburn. He was released at the end of last season and scored 4 goals in 22 matches for the Robins.
He’s signed on a one year deal with the option of another year.
He becomes our fourth signing this summer and the first signing for new head-coach Martin Russell.

Swans CEO Julian Winter:
The reality of it is we don't have to sell anyone unless the club gets an offer it thinks is suitable," said Winter, adding the club had not received "anything formal" in an offer for Grimes.

Ipswich have reportedly accepted a 550k bid from Swansea for versatile midfielder, 22 year old Flynn Downes, and he is set for a medical.
Also Man U’s 20 year old right-back Ethan Laird is reported to be coming on a season long loan. Another versatile player who has contributed goals from left and right back for Man U's reserves, and has played at centre-back for England youth. He was on loan with RM at MK Dons last season.

Man Utd’s young defender Ethan Laird loan signing imminent. He’s in town and watched last night’s draw with the Blades.

There’s still speculation on two of our players who are in the last year of their contract, as the transfer window enters the final days.
Joe Bidwell is wanted by Middlesboro, we will sell at the right price,
Matt Grimes to Fulham the same, so a crunch week in prospect for two of our key players. It’s all about the money obviously, as we are, wrongly in my view, considering boosting fellow Championship rivals squads.

Transfer Window closes next Tuesday 31 August at 11pm
RM is keen to do business for players in key positions -
“We’re working hard at it. This window has been very slow in general but I think it will come to life at some point. We’re not going to get people for the sake of it, just to try and bring someone in.
We have clear targets who we are in discussions with. We have a couple of guys who really want to come and play here.
It’s about making sure the finances are right for us and the club they’re coming from. I’m sure by the end of the transfer window that will come to life.”

I’m surprised that Kyle Joseph is going to L1 Cheltenham on a season long loan. I thought he had a good game against Plymouth. We’ve only just bought him and he’s already had experience of L1 with Wigan last season.
There was talk of Morgan Whittaker going out on loan but his hat-trick in mid-week maybe changed their minds.

In a cry for help from our American owners, Bob Bradley is being sounded out. They are pleading with him to come over and help Martin after the players rebelled at his tactics and stopped playing in yesterday’s shambles at Preston.

It’s Tuesday 31 August, the last day of the transfer window and another desperate fire sale at knock down prices by the Yanks -
Connor Roberts to Burnley £2.5m
Jamal Lowe to Bournemouth £1.5m
Kitchen Sink - undisclosed
Will the last man out turn out the lights
