Summer Transfer Window

The Rodon saga will drag on until the 16th no doubt. £18m-£20m is about fair I'd say but Spurs have taking the piss offering £7m and wasting their time. Who knows what'll happen but if I know the Swans we'll end up settling for less than our valuation to get some money in.

With Steve Cooper saying we need another centre-back (two if Joe Rodon goes), I thought I would compile a list of centre -backs on the move recently. Bear in mind we can only utilise the domestic league transfer market until 16/10.
Looking at the list, Ben Godfrey, Norwich to Everton for £24.75m gives us a guideline as to what price we should be asking for Rodon. Spurs offering £7m is insulting and should be dismissed out of hand.
Levy up to his tricks again, unsettling the player first with a paltry offer, and using Trevor Birch’s knowledge of our dire finances to get a cheap deal. The dullards in charge at Swansea are reportedly asking only £18m, which in my opinion is way too low.

Timm Klose - Norwich to FC Basel (loan)
Bruno Martins Indi - Stoke to A Z Alkmaar (loan)

Rob Dickie - Oxford to QPR (£2.43m)

Toni Leistner - QPR to Hamburger SV (free)
Leo Ostigard - Brighton to Coventry (loan)
Marc Guehi - Chelsea to Swansea (loan)
Matt Clarke - Brighton to Derby (loan)
Giles Phillips - QPR to Wycombe (loan)
Wes Harding - Birmingham to Rotherham (undisclosed)
Charlie Goode - Northampton to Brentford (£990k)
Angus MacDonald - Hull to Rotherham (free)

James Chester - Villa to Stoke (free)

Charlie Kelman, Southend’s highly rated young forward is having a medical with QPR. Fee unknown.
Swans were linked with him earlier in the window, their manager commented on our interest at the time saying no way was he leaving.

Manchester City youngster Joel Latibeaudiere, a centre-half, and another of Cooper’s England U-17’s World Cup winning team, strongly linked with a move to the Swans. He’s in the last year of his contract so it’s unclear whether it’s a loan deal or not.
Transfer Market value him at £90k.
At 1.8m/5’10’ he’s a bit short for a centre-back, Rodon is 1.93m/6’4”).

If Rodon moves to Spurs we would still need another centre-back for cover, possibly Williams of Blackburn, who can cover the left-back/wing-back position as well.

Joe Rodon gone for a paltry £11m, an embarrassing fee and peanuts in the Premier League.
Never negotiate a deal with the clever, some say tight fisted, Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy, there’ll be only one winner.
With Trevor Birch in the background giving all our financial details away we didn’t stand a chance, especially with our owners new puppet CEO Julian Winter in place and negotiating for us.
Daniel Levy, 30% owner, this is the same guy that put all their club staff on Government furlough, one of the richest clubs in the world.
Joe Lewis heads the ENIC Group, as 70% owner of Spurs. He is worth £6.2 billion, and has a yacht worth £112m.
