Summer Transfer Rumour Thread

In short, Lincoln cannot influence the transfer market from League One, and every club wishing to make acquisitions is in the same boat. In other words, it is the same for everyone. Very few clubs have completed their squads, and some have a huge amount to do.

It wouldn’t be so bad if we already had a reasonable number in the squad with a keeper and defenders not having played before or being injured.

If we started the season today, what sort of side would we be able to actually put out? Think it would be okay up top and in midfield, but the defence and gk positions less so.
I agree with this, does there come a point where a short term solution to the glut of defensive injuries has to be activated? (If a couple of the defenders have minor injuries that will clear up before game one, then we don’t need a plan b.)

To answer the hypothetical question, for fun… back five would be:
gk Long
Rb (any guesses? - a youth teamer? Longdon? Sanders?)
rcb bridcutt
lcb Melbourne
lb Edun or bramall

Is anyone else thinking that Bishop and Griffiths aren't quite the right fit for us.

Conspiracy warning.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Bishop kept us hanging on for an MK Dons offer that was promised but was only ever a second option if Eisa wouldn't sign and that we then looked elsewhere - an example of a player holding out for more that he is likely to get this season?

And isn't Griffiths fourth in line at WBA. Wouldn't it make more sense that we actually take Palmer for another season? Why take a 19 year old in order to loan out an 18 year old. If Long has nearly as much potential as Griffiths, stick him in. If not we have to be looking at someone better than a 19 year old surely.

Griffiths was called up to the England U21 squad for the U21 Euro's and played a full season of league football last season. There's a light year of difference in the potential of the 2 players and the amount of playing time Griffiths has had...
