Summer sigings - bomb squad ?

At least there is a market for him, and if we are to get anywhere near what we paid, then its best we look to Inter for a straight swap for Frattesi or to Napoli for their LB, or another player which could balance the value.

Bindon could end up being one of the most important signings now he has experienced the championship. He could well be our main centre back next season.
Going to be very interesting to see if Pereira goes with 3 at the back and who he picks…

So long as it isn’t Morato it could work.

Aina fist, Cunha second ch
i agree that Aina could play that role, but i am less worried about Morato in a 3 like that than in a 2 or as LB. with Milo and Murrilo next to him i think he has cover. and he is tall and strong so has assets for that position. Also would just need a decent outlet so he has an obvious pass out.

That always seems one of our main failings all over the pitch to me, the lack of movement & static players mean the player with the ball very often doesn't have any passing options never mind obvious ones, hence the incredibly slow laborious build up. When you're attempting to play out from the back the onus is on team mates to give the player on the ball passing options so they don't get caught on the ball

Won't be sorry to see him go , he's been a disappointment like many others.

I think it was the FF podcast that detailed Pereira's preferred Wolves formation: with the obvious cavaets that they had proper ballers in the team catering to the setup, namely Ait Nouri and Cunha.

Its a 3223 formation...
Essentially, the back 3 are left to their own devices higher up the field, and further from the goalkeeper = loads of pressure!
The front three would comprise any two wingbacks from Aina/Williams/Netz/Ndoye/Bakwa and one of Wood/Jesus/Lucca staying central and high.
These three would essentially sit on the opponents defence and press.

The back and front three being noticeably separated allows the "22" to form a box between defence and attack, with a much larger area of the pitch to work within.
This, in Pereira ball, is where the game is played.

Our box 4 - maybe a diamond if one of Sangare or Anderson sits - controls and creates.
Perhaps it will allow VP to play two 10s and two 8s. Or one 6, one 8 and two 10s....or two 6s, one 8 and a 10: who knows, but loads of options for Vitor!
Either way, this might showcase the real talent of McAtee alongside MGW feeding the front 3.

The wing-back role will be brutal, as they will obviously be required to sit in when we're defending a lead/go 541 and still attack when the opportunity arises.
If Aina does take one of the 3 CB places then the pressure on Williams will be immense: hopfeully the gaffer can get a tune out of Ndoye or Bakwa as wingback cover.
Netz has obviously played that role previously.

Perhaps Cunha to come in from the cold (after being shafted by Dyche) to take one of the centreback berths.
