Summer sigings - bomb squad ?

I back Hutchinson. I still have hope for Bakwa.

Would have liked to keep Kali but that ship has sailed.

McAtee has looked consistently poor for me and I don’t see where he fits in.

Worth remembering though that Sangaré had 2 poor / stop-start seasons for us and only now is he looking like a player.

What would McAtee, Kali, Bakwa look like with two seasons of patience and integrating?

They won’t get it sadly.
 
All are good players, but it's whether they were ever the right players for us remains to be seen.

But the wheel turns and the usual "He's the worst ever signing" nonsense comments will be attached to someone new next week and the week after. The whole team is inconsistent at the moment.
 
13 signings, over 230m euro spent on those signings

1 of those players is off and we take a 2m hit on that deal.

Jesus and Hutchinson look like they will be decent players in the long run.

Savona, Cuhna and Cuibano will be players for the future - far too early to judge at the moment - and it should be noted that a regular criticism of the club is we do not plan for the future, but when we do the players are given 10 minutes to impress.

There is nothing to suggest Bakwa will not come good once he has had a chance to settle in, and the same applies to Ndoye, although the rumours he might be off are persistent.

MaCatee worries me; he clearly has the talent, its a case of whether he has the character to be the influential player we thought we were buying.

Cant see Victor hanging around too long and Gunn was bought in for cover, which leaves the two loans.

Time will tell how good or bad that window was, and peoples impatience will not alter that.

Imo the issue with mctee is that he played for a team that specialised in possession and interplay. We are obviously not that team. Can he learn how to play the same game differently? Does he even want to learn?

Not even sure where we see ourselves- the countering kings or possession posse.

Would like to see us try to replicate arsenal who can do a bit of everything.

I think he was brought in to bring a bit of that to our team. You can't do it on your own but there are a few players in our squad who can make the quick passes in tight areas like that. Changing style takes time.

For what it's worth. I regret Ndoye joining our club. He's been an appalling signing and his cameo role v Wolves was shockingly poor. His attempted overhead kick on the edge of the box was a particular low even by his standards.
Get him gone.

Have to agree that it's not worked out.

It possibly could work in the future, but we'll be in a lower league by then and he'll have fucked off for a big loss.
