Summer sigings - bomb squad ?

Yesterday was telling from Ange.

Kalimuendo
Mcatee
Hutchinson
Bakwa

Huge amount of money excluded from the squad. Ndoye didnt make the pitch.

Will it change under a new manager?
Have these been massive mistakes ?

Scotland number 1 keeper will never even make our squad. What sort of planning was this?

I think it will change under the new manager. I think (hope) he will discover his best 11 and then rotate the squad gradually instead of making loads of changes every game.

Have they done anything to deserve being picked?

Mcatee and hutchinson were very questionable signings from the start.

Some of these lads must be regretting this move already.

Ange doesn't know what he's doing.
If he's leaving those players out but playing Awoniyi it says everything about Ange and nothing about the players.

I thought, and still do think, that these two players are good additions.

Ange didn’t know what he was doing, that much was obvious from early in his reign.

Hutchinson isn’t to blame for the price tag, but what I’ve seen of him he is a player we should be using most weeks. He causes problems and can create. I think him and McAtee will come good, under the right coach.

I remember posing the question of who will be the first player in the "new bomb squad" in the summer after we cleared the last one of the "old bomb squad". & we still don't really know, had Taiwo down as a viable option until his renaissance yesterday. Perhaps we should have kept Ange on to manage that "it's who we are mate"

I think they all have something about them and I am sure a good manager can get them to play.

The only me I really question is Kali. Videos looked good but I haven’t seen anything from him yet to know what he could be good at. A while back I read the forum of his old club and they all seemed to love him for his hard work and honesty but I got the feel he just didn’t have a good level of ability or able to offer any one thing at a high level

First reaction to seeing yesterday's team was Taiwo? I wonder though what he has been showing in training? I thought he looked decent as well.

The clown chopped and changed every single game. I think they'll come good. We have wingers that can cross, and three forwards that work well with that game, one of which has been prolific in the EPL.

Ange doesnt play that way, but the next one will because that's our strength
Can they cross? Playing CHO on left and Bakwa on right means they always cut in and never cross. Cooper and Nuno both played CHO on left for three great goals a season.

Weve got too many players now

None of these names have remotely given remotely enough time to have any judgement made about them

Jesus, cunha, ndoye already done enough for me to show they are good signings

The others havent had anywhere near enough minutes to impress

Mcatee incredible to say got more minutes with Man City!

What must he be thinking?

I still think Bakwa and McAtee are exceptional talents. You can see it in their first touch and movement. The problem is that new signings are never given time nowadays - look at all of our supposedly shit signings from Aina to Williams to Wood. Even good players can be poor under a bad manager.

Hutchinson too

But they all need minutes and thrive on confidence

I imagine kali is the same

They need to be given a long run in the team then probably at the expense of Cho and MGW neither of whom have been very good this season

I’d like to see this team

Gunn

Dominguez Milo Murillo Williams

Luiz. Anderson

Bakwa. Mcatee Ndoye

Jesus

Don’t think much of Savona or Zinc

Or

Gunn

Milo jair. Murillo

Bakwa Luiz Anderson Williams

Mcatee. Ndoye

Jesus

Until MGW and Sels get back into form and Aina is back

Taiwo actually played reasonably well , holding the ball up , bringing others into play etc but the early chance he had was a pathetic effort , should have at least tested the keeper.
Hold up play was decent as you say Orbs but he looks like he’s running through treacle to me and he’s got the touch of a rapist.

As a target man your first touch has got to stick, his often time ran 2 yards away from him. To be fair though he’s not played but I doubt we’ll see him get back to his best, that first injury (not the abdominal thing) fucked him.
