Summer departures

I think we all realise the mould breaking team of 2011/12 is ageing.

But, regardless of the qualification or not for next years CL , I think there are some truly momentous changes coming.

That true Blue warrior Zaba, needs to move on, but I suspect his pride may lead him to retire, I wish him well.

Yaya, another great , who should retire, but will probably head to China or the Middle East, but no longer good enough for the Blues

Kolorov, done his time taken the cheques, Bye !

Vincent, oh what might have been , one of the finest defenders ever to grace the PL , if not Europe, but City cannot afford to carry passengers, and sadly , that is what he has become. He should retire for his own peace of mind rather than carrying on at ever lower standards. I'll miss him in Sainsbury's Macclesfield.

Bony , nuff said .

Raheem, is Pep good enough to turn a sow's ear to a silk purse ? Cannot make up my mind.

This one , however , is the bombshell.

Sergio, his injury record speaks for itself, yet despite that he is consistently one , if not THE , top scorer in the PL. but , in Europe, he goes missing . I think Pep will let him go if a good offer comes in and he can get a CL proven goalscorer, such as Lewandoski (SP?)

Surprisingly , I think Pep can work with NO, and EM, as well as the Ferns, Nasri, Nacho , and KDB cold be the foundations for at least the next couple of years.

As always, open to criticism, suggestions, and outright ridicule.

I think I would want to put this on the back burner until the last two games have been played.

This is a great topic to discuss seac and while we have two more matches to play I think this will be a big talking point once the season is over.

Buzz,

In an ideal world it would be shelved until post season.

I can, the big question is , can the players ?

seac i think you have it almost spot on but i cannot see Sergio going, with better players in the midfield he will get better service and that is all he needs.

it gets quiet in post season here and this would be something we could get our teeth in to with all the speculation.

I am not saying we should not discuss it or i would not have stuck it up here. lol

I've been selecting passengers for the departure bus for some time. Since I got up early to watch the Newcastle game in fact. And that was a clusterf..k. It may be unfair to name names until next week but Bony is confirmed in seat 1A.

Bony a certainty but it will be a very interesting time and should bring a few surprises as to who goes along with the favourites.

Shocked if they're still here next season:

Wright, Caballero, Zaba, Kolarov, Demichelis, Yaya, Bony

Wouldn't be surprised if they're not here:

Clichy, Sagna, Mangala, Kompany, Fernando, Fernandinho, Delph, Navas

Wouldn't rule out not being here:

Silva, Nasri

Shocked if they're not here:

Aguero, Sterling, DeBruyne, Iheanacho, Otamendi, Hart

Looking through that squad only 9 out of 23 remain from 2011/12 and only 4 of the team that started at the Bernabeu in 2012/13 started on Wednesday night.

Whilst I do not want anyone to lose their jobs, I think wright is purely there as an emergency cover, who would rarely get called up on but has the experience and if we don't retain him, then i advocate that we utilise one from the academy to take his place, but would that impede his progress, if so then keep Wright or resign Shay Given in a similar capacity.

@seac, don't think it's fair to say Aguero goes missing in Europe, very recent evidence would suggest he does but when you look at his overall record in the competition he has a goal every 150minutes, for context Lewandowski has a goal every 134 minutes.

Firstly, 16 minutes difference is a huge gap, but you know stats better than I do.

I may be being overly critical of Sergio, I don't believe he has been 100% fit since the start of the season , but has kept plugging away.

However, this " going missing " is not something confined to his time at City, he was also "accused" of this when at Atleti.

KDB , who we all love, has a similar reputation.

There was a thread which mentioned Danny Tiatto the other day, at the moment , we could do with the fight that he displayed , or that of Mike Doyle, not the best skill wise , but commited.

Could we please have MD and Urko back at the heart of our defence !

It's big enough but you have to consider who they're both playing for too.

A goal every 150 minutes can be translated as more than a goal every two games.

Agree that service (lack of and type) is the issue with Aguero. He never gets the ball early enough. He has to suffer prolonged and impotent build up play in non dangerous areas before he gets any service. We don't seem to realise that getting the ball to him early would be beneficial. Possession is important but not the way we have over egged it in continuous seasons. As for those who I'd like to see at other clubs : Bony, Sterling, Cabalero, MDM, Toure, and Wright come to mind.

Players I'd most like to see at City: Morata, and Weigl (fantastic in a 'pivot' role).

Let me get this out of the way now.

I love Sergio , he is one of the best strikers in the world.

........ when he gets the service, but he has lost a yard.

There are strikers out there , who make there own chances , and that is the difference, and the level we aspire to.

There is nobody who would be more delighted to e proven wrong by a SA hat trick on Sunday

I think we all love Sergio and we have relied on him a great deal as we have no-one close enough to him to give him a rest when he has needed it most. Personally I don't think he has lost a yard, he is now targetted and comes with his own personal double bodyguard supplied by the opposition in most matches, I think that is why Kelechi gets more space because they are too busy watching Kun to be bothered about a young kid. I definitely would keep Sergio and buy another world class striker as well

For sure Pep will bring in new players, just hope he gets more of a say than his immediate predecessor. As for who comes and goes we will just have to wait and see. Without a top four finish one or two City targets will not be coming I think.
