Summer 2026 Transfers

There's a general thought in the press that City need a striker, a real number 9.
The problem I have with this thought is that PC has said that he doesnt want to rely on "a striker" but that goals can come from anyone in the team to keep the oppos guessing.
We have Toure and Maghoma and Ali to a slightly lesser extent backed up by Slimane and KV, Brooks has arrived but untested with us yet so a bit of an unknown quantity. Toure and Maghoma still need to develop, Slimane and KV need to learn to find the net along with Ali.
So would a proper number 9 out and out striker fit in if he does a Messi and Harland style walking around as PC wants each player to defend and attack?
I'm looking forward to the first game to see how the new Norwich fresh start under PC will go.
The last thing we need is a shambolic start.

The 72 is suggesting that Ross Stewart, Southamptons ex striker, 29, is available on a free and would be a great mentor for Toure and Makama especially as they are similiar players. Stewart gets injured a lot but when fit knows the Chanp well and can finish

Clone Grant Holt !

Norwich interest in Huddersfields Jay Smith-Sway youngster looks set to fall as Huddersfield want to tie their player down with a new contract

One of the Championship's top left-backs of the 2025-26 season 30-year-old defender Matt Targett has both West Ham and Norwich City in the mix when it comes to signing the left-back on a free transfer this summer after Newcastle decided to let him go.

31 in September 2026
6' tall - thats good
loads of Premiership experience and 60 apps in the Championship

Would he get a one year or two year contract if we are interested?

Norwich could be looking at Cercle Brugge’s Lawrence Agyekum. 22 years old versatile right wing / midfielder, Ghana international, 2 goals 4 assists. Spent last season out on loan. Strange. Under contract till 2029, why would he be open for sale? Seems too soon, so a bit suspicious?

5' 8" - too short

No thank you

John Souttar, who PC knows from his time with Rangers, Football Insider reporting that the defender is being made available on the market by Rangers.

No thank you - we dont have an opening for a 29 year old CB.

We are in the silly season where the click baiters will link players at PCs former clubs to NCFC. Similarly with players playing in Belgium.

We are being linked with 2 Reading U16 / 18 players - they are twins.

Jubilee Ntege - 12 goals and 14 assists for Reading U16 this season.
Plus 11 goal/assists for Reading U18s.

Joseph Ntege - 12 goals and 10 assists for Reading U16 this season
Plus 9 goal/ assists for Reading U18s

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, reporting for Sky Sport, French midfielder Balthazar Pierret - currently plying his trade for Red Star FC in Ligue 2 - is wanted by both Middlesbrough and Norwich. Pierret has spoken to PC.

Allegedly he has spoken to PC about the weather?

Cant see anything happening unless we lose one of our existing first team squad midfielders.

More click bait?

How is tzolis signing for arsenal!? I know he did well at Brugge but that lge is so poor. Have we got a sell on?
I doubt we have any sell on as we sold him to Dusseldorf as part of the loan agreement for around €3 million, and they sold him to Brugge for about €6.5 in the same window.
