Summer 2026 Transfers

Norwich City are set to complete the signing of Cruzeiro defender Bruno Alves, with the Brazilian now travelling to England to finalise the move.

The Championship side had already agreed a deal with Cruzeiro, and the latest from Brazil suggests the transfer is moving into its final stage.

Local outlet Itatiaia report Bruno Alves boarded a flight to England on Thursday. The 20-year-old also reposted an image from the plane on social media, with his wife referring to the new “adventure” they are about to start.

The defender is joining Norwich on loan until the middle of 2027. Cruzeiro will receive a financial compensation for the deal, and the Canaries will also have a purchase option.

Bruno Alves signing completed, a loan.

PC says he will need time to get to know English football and the Champ - you got ,months get him ready!!!

I would not be surprised if we landed one or two players for the first team squad before the end of the current financial year on the 30th June 2026. The transfer window opens on the 15th June 2026...........

Well we are bout to sign Field from QPR - fee is rumoured to be £1.5m plus add ons.

Alves - the option to buy is rumoured to be at £1.7m

After Field we have to find a fast productive right attacking midfield / right winger who ideally is at least 5' 10 tall or physical.

Cheikh Niasse defensive midfielder was a regular for Hellas Verona across the last two seasons though he didnt end last season well and could be in line for a move to Norwich City.

The 26-year-old is on his way out, with Verona having finished 19th in the table.
Norwich City are attempting a summer deal, and have a good chance.

Discussions are expected to continue, with both parties trying to find an agreement.

Verona paid €3.5m to sign the player from Young Boys. As his current deal runs out in 2029, the Italian side are likely to aim for a capital gain and a permanent departure.

We must see something in him but sounds a bit ordinary for his age.

This from Pinkun Newsletter yesterday:

There were reports yesterday linking City with Verona midfielder Cheikh Niasse, but following the permanent signing of Sam Field, Norwich are understood to be content with their current midfield options.

Norwich City have signed winger Andre Brooks from Championship rivals Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

The Jamaica international, 22, has agreed a five-year contract with the Canaries and becomes boss Philippe Clement's third signing of the summer.

The Blades report that they have accepted a substantial bid for the 23-year-old which we understand could reach more than £10m with add-ons.

EDP reports the 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Carrow Road in a deal understood to be worth an initial £8m, rising to £9m should the club secure Premier League .
