Summer 2026 Transfers

Got to be ruthless this summer - Jurasek, Forsyth, Medic, Reyes, Aboh, possibly Forson and Myles loaned out.

Is Slimane coming along for the journey? I mean, he is decent, but I would rather Kvistgaarden in the number 10 than him, Maghoma too

"I would also hope they would release long - how did he get such a long deal?"

Typing error - changed the sentence and got his surname mixed up with the moved words

Defo need to be ruthless and get rid of the misfits and get in new talent where we need depth.

Interestingly, podcast talked about a recognised striker as they think Toure might be poached. I expect him to do well in the WC and raise his profile assuming Oz Coach plays him to his talents. Forwards Toure and Makama backed up by Maghoma looks really good. We need bulky strong and Cordoba / Haarland type across the board.

We need to stamp out the stuffing around at the back, including Kenny. If they havent got a pass on get rid up field and stop mucking around trying to be smart and traingle playing out.

Not Forson - keep him.

Keep Slimane - good sub and starter 'easier' games.

Mundle-Smith we should keep and give him a new contract.

So we will find out tomorrow about players who will be let go in the summer - that's according to Talk Norwich City/Pink Un in their podcast.

I mean, I'd think Springett, Duffy, Barden, Schlupp, Emi. The fact that, in the last two games, Schlupp has been classed as fit and going to be in the squad, but hasn't been, makes me think he will be gone.

I would also hope they would release long - how did he get such a long deal?

Mundle-Smith deal expires in the summer too, I believe - will he be offered a new deal?

Then the other U21 players will they all be let go:

Henry Bullen, Billy Gee, Lloyd Ofori-Manteaw, Toby Chilvers, Brandon Forbes, Harmony Okwumo, AJ Bridge.
Schlupp was a one year deal so its goodbye to a player who has contributed zero.

Apparently, we are tracking Frosinone’s winger Fares Ghedjemis.

Are we racing after him? :rotfl:

Seriously:
FARES GHDJEMIS
DOB 6/9/02
1m 83
Right winger - left foot
1 Algerian cap

25 - 26 Serie B (Italy) 33 + 1 apps 14 goals 1 assist

24 - 25 Serie B (Italy) 13 + 8 apps 2 goals 1 assist

Bears said, I'd think Springett, Duffy, Barden, Schlupp, Emi.

80% spot on - there's usually some later that are on the fence so Barden maybe up for further consideration. If we got another experienced keeper in then that would look like he'd go.

Norwich are making some early moves, having submitted a €9m (£8m) bid for Frosinone star Ghedjemis, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness)

He is eyeing a move to the Premier League, not interested in moving to the Championship, so it could be a bit difficult for the Canaries to get a deal done.

Belgian outlet Voetbal Primeur reckon Lorent Tolaj (Plymouth) is attarcting a few clubs, Anderlecht and FC Copenhagen are both eyeing the Swiss-born striker alongside Championship trio Norwich City, Swansea and Stoke and "a lot of money" will be required for him to be prised away from Plymouth. Bought for 1.1 million last summer, has 16 goals and five assists from just 26 League One matches.

We have been linked to Israel international winger, Liel Abada, from MLS side, Charlotte FC.

Attanasio has come out and described PC as a "Special Manager" and also how BK has stepped and doubled his work rate and is working well with PC.
Dont look like you're going to get your wish DG re BK.
They've been working for months on targets.
We know PC wants them in early but also realises that the WC is going to stop some players on transfers to see if they can raise their value.
Championship Fixtures released June 25 2026
The WC final is on 19 July 2026
Carabao Cup starts the season on 7-9 August 2026
Ist Round EFL 3 leagues is on 14-16 August 2026.
That gives a full month of preseason for the League and 3 weeks for the League Cup. The League Cup will be equivalent to the last pre-season friendly
No doubt some players will be returning earlier than 19 July, most probably all of them so PC has some time
Transfers wise it looks like any new WC imports if any will be coming late in pre-season.
Makes you wonder if City are targetting younger non WC players and getting them in really early.
PC said the players have this week off, then come in for 10 days finishing around 21 May and then they have 2 weeks holiday taking it to about 4 June.
WC kicks off 11 June so WC will be in squads by 11 May. They than have to have holidays so that leaves presious little time for any pre-season.
We have seen in the past top WC players still being on holiday at the start of the season and missing early games.

Norwich City and Watford are now eyeing a summer move for Plymouth Argyle striker Bim Pepple, who is starting to attract widespread interest with the striker netting 18 goals in 41 matches across all competitions.

Pinkun Extract

Philippe Clement has put attacking targets top of his summer hit list as he looks to take Norwich City to the next level.

Recruitment will be key to City’s promotion ambitions – with Clement determined to add a sharper cutting edge to a team which improved dramatically under his control after a miserable start to the season.
“We're creating enough chances, but we have to finish off the job,”

Question has to be asked , if he needed to double his work rate
to do what he is now ( still nothing visible ) then what was he doing before. He still needs to be fired. If only I was in charge he and Webber would already be on their way.

Also, it will be interesting to know who is shipped out.

I think a couple of more senior/experienced players will come in

Scott Smith has been confirmed as Norwich City's new academy manager.

He has been with the club since 2014. Good on him.
