Summer 2026 Transfers

I know our team is inconsistent but when they are on song they are one of the best Championship sides. We have mostly lost against fouling cheating opposition combined with incompetent refereeing.
We know that there are gaps which will take time to address but we have a multi talented team and, I am sorry but I profoundly disagree with a deal of the negative assessment that seems to be prevalent.

After last seasons terrible start I was expecting wins to get us going and cleanse that scare, not losses and having lost 3 of the first 4 for its an 'Oh No' feeling sense. I look at the table and 3 points at this stage jumps a lot of places so I'm hoping we win more often now - thatcsaid we climbed nearly to the top 6 in half a season so we can get there

Forever the optimist Rex but I do agree.

Norwich rejected a $28.3 million offer from Championship rivals Stoke City for Mo Toure on transfer deadline day!!!!!
We certainly were keeping him!!!
But we'll have to navigate the same waters in January 27 but now its going to be a much bigger number than that - and we still need to keep him - time for the big boys to sod off and go get their own talent and grow them instead of raping the lower leagues and leaving those clubs no better off talent wise.
What an incentive to get promoted this year - that will get rid of the desire to play Prem where he will play every week with us and not be a bench warmer understudy for some other highly rated star.

Mo Toure's response to the transfer rumours was a little wishy washy - saying that the club can wait another six months or a year (for me).

'With transfer, I was very happy at Norwich to be honest, and I am still happy. So I feel like those things not going through really don't affect me in any way.

There were some truths, some teams actually wanted me - contacted my agent.

But at the end of the day, I was very happy here. I feel like if they want me now, they can just wait another year, or maybe another six months. I will just have to contiue doing what I am doing. That was pretty much my mindset.'

So Toure will look at any offers this January but not neccessarily act but next summer a serious loook at his options.

I would expect Makama to be in higher demand than Toure if he continues to produce even more when he's back to full match fitness.

This is all dependent I guess where we finish this season and a few may well move on if we dont get promoted.

Toure is not our only goal scorer so, while he is an important player now, there will be other players who can do at least as good a job coming along.
Clearly he has an eye on his career so it’s not unreasonable for him to consider his options.
I don’t see him as a premier league striker so would expect him to move on at the end of the season.

PC coveted the moving on of players in his Boro pre-match presser - quite interesting, even qualified it with my comment on get to the Prem why move!!
