I'm guessing a new signing incoming and it's a returnee who has already played 131 games for us.

Wiki has Bostwick on 125 games for us but perhaps there's another 6 games in a lesser competition wiki doesn't count. Or the 125 is an error.

Any other guesses from those with all the stats on our players?

According to Wikipedia, two players have played exactly 131 games for City in all competitions - Gordon Hughes and Paul Miller.

Football League appearances only - Alf Webb (pre-1904), Tommy Wield (pre-1919) and Barry Richardson.
