I would have thought that’s the whole point of employing an analyst - to bring players with qualities and attributes defined by the manager to his attention.

Apparently, if this strategy doesn't work, plan B is to get hold of David Holdsworth's little black book and start randomly sticking pins it. It worked then, why fix it if it ain't broke?
