Sum up the season

Disappointing , frustrating , naive and unfortunate .
Glad we managed to do enough to stay up but pleased it's all done & dusted.

not as catchy as moanz

It’s true to be fair & the person who rightly said it was fined as well.

I think it’s incompetence rather corruption in terms of refs & VAR

The points deduction still seems bizarre though I get time frames and everything but if it’s not the financial year with it’s associated tax implications then I don’t see why one arbitrary date matters especially when you take into account the figures offered & then what we actually got.

June 30 isn't an arbitrary date.

June 30 isn't an arbitrary date.

Debatable - existing or coming about seemingly at random or by chance or as a capricious and unreasonable act of will

However the fallout from the last season means that we now know that there will be no leeway given and that all transfer business for the year must be concluded by the end of January giving all clubs 5 months to cook... errr... balance the books in time for submission. There's still some time for a totally honest and above board and highly lucrative sponsorship deal for the toilet doors and fire exits to be negotiated

Yeah but if you are talking about football transfers then common sense would be the end of the transfer window
I suppose aligning the football year to the transfer window, would possibly mean footballers losing a 6 week window to sort out their next contract.

Maybe that shouldn't matter, genuinely.

Err, ok...

A nightmare to be honest. Constant VAR/PSR issues throughout amid the frustration of losing so many tight games often with late goals and often with stupid mistakes! Utter relief it’s over and we are still a premier league club

It was the financial year with the associated tax implications - the Clubs financial year end is June 30th.

A word for Mads Sels

We stopped talking about the goalkeeper in January.

Simple as that.

Went from one of our top topics of conversation to something we just never talked about.

He wasn't flawless and there was the odd one he did badly on, but that happens to any keeper.

Totally steady pair of hands, inspired confidence in the defence and the supporters, saved us a few times but more than anything, we just didn't notice him because he did his job well.

Anyone else notice that we pretty much stopped conceding set pieces as soon as Boly came back into the side?

For me I think unless we have a shot at a real top keeper, we shouldn’t be thinking of buying another one unless we sell Turner and Vlach first.

Agreed. Sell Vlach this summer, and then next season buy a top keeper and loan or sell Turner
