Suggested Loan Targets In 2018/19 Are Beginning To Make Some Villa Fans Ask One Question - What's Wrong With Our Own Youth

In the situation we're in why would we pay utd to borrow a 20 year old centre half when we've easah Suliman already with us.

Neither has any real experience and both have represented England at various youth levels. So why bring in one at the expense of another when the very best thing that could happen with Tuanzabe is he has a good season and utd have him back and either keep him, loan him somewhere else or sell him leaving us with nothing.

See if you can put a team together out of our own Steve, thought that's what managers do, you never know, you might surprise yourself and find out we have some good players, if you give them a chance, might even save a few bob.

Not quite sure why there is all this speculation anyway last I heard he could not do any deals even freebees.? Its ok saying we have to sell this player or that player we have to have bids for them first.

Loans can be cheaper than freebies; lower wages.

I'm not sure the point about Tuanzebe when we're strapped for cash. He provides flexible cover; we already have players like Elmo and Hutton as first choice for full backs, and we have plenty of options in midfield.

But we have Suleiman (probably not ready for a centre back role, he needs to strengthen up a bit, but OK as flexible cover), Lyden, Mitch Clark, and so on. These aren't ready to play every week but they can fill in.

In midfield we have competition between Barny, Jedi and Whelan for DM, plus loads of options for other positions. Bruce has to start having the courage to give youth a more significant role; we've nothing to lose.

Oh Mac, remember the old Everly Brothers song that has a line that goes, 'all I have to do is dream;/

Trying to re-sign Tuanzebe on loan would be complete stupidity when we have Bedeau, who has more playing experience than Tuanzebe and is thought of far more highly.
We could use some of our right-backs in other defensive roles.
I'm sure Hutton could fill in as a left-sided centre-back and if we still have him, I'm sure DeLaet could cover the same spot as well as left-back.

Be interesting to see if Bruce can work with what he's got, rather than trying to buy his way out of this mess and wasting more money on loans etc. Even after players are sold we still have enough to do a job, but do we have a manager that can put a team together with a lack of funds, i'm not so sure.

Has Bedeau played in the Champions League or Premiership then ?

Tuanzebe has an average of 61 minutes a game over 5 premier games and 18 minutes in a champions league game but, he made such an impression that they, ManU, have been sending him out on loan.

We lost the chance of getting such a manager when Stoke signed their new manager.
The only other one who stands out, is employed by Brentford and I have a feeling they would refuse any request from us to talk to him.

Well he's not got much of a choice really. Not that giving someone like Bedeau or Suliman and chance rather than bringing in a has been on huge wages like samba or loaning a 20 year old whose made a handful of sub appearennces in the premier league is a bad thing.

Yes but you said Bedeau had more playing experience than Tuanzebe and I was merely pointing out that he hasn't.

Bedeau has never made our first team squad and I suspect hardly anyone has seen him play so plucking the name out and comparing him with Tuanzebe is not logical in my view. Suliman or Clark would be a better comparison.

Comparing Suliman or Clark to Tuanzebe would be silly, as neither has first team experience, while Bedeau does have with Bury. In fact he was so well thought of that about a dozen other clubs, including premiership outfits, tried to sign him.

I know Everton were in for him as well, and memories that 4-5 in total were circling, as Bury took him out the first team to protect from injury when it was going on from memory.

He was in their squad but played in only 7 games (subbed off twice)
they lost 5 of those and drew the other two.
They did a cracking job of talking up on on those numbers.
Rested or dropped ?
Odd deal really for the amount we paid but then their chairman is up to his eyeballs in debt and has/had loans against their ground - hmmmm
