Struggling

Alert Team
In our last 5 games we've won 4, scored 9 and conceded 3.

Apparently this equates to struggling and Pep being found out for the fraud that he is.

Some will argue that we haven't been playing well, fair enough we haven't been at our free flowing best but then isn't it often remarked upon that winning whilst not playing well is the mark of champions?

What's really wound me up in amidst this run over the Christmas period was the reaction to the Liverpool game, we lost narrowly at the home of one of our title rivals, disappointing as it was the hyperbole that followed was pathetic. We went to Anfield and matched their famous workrate, we couldn't hurt them as we seemed to lack that little bit of quality in the final third but that was as much to do with them defending exceptionally well as it was to do with our failings.

Anyhoo, I noticed last night following Spurs win that the consensus seemed to be that they are back in the title race, they are level on points with us, does that mean despite us struggling over the Christmas period that we're back in the title race too?

Whether a club is in the title race can sometimes change hourly. I would suggest that both ourselves and Spuds are in the title race, although it is still early doors and that could change.

Are the rags in the title race; what about Everton, Baggies and Bournemouth?

Are the Super Foxes in the title race or a relegation scrap?

It's not over until the Fat Sam sings...

Worthy of a front page article...

Pep made a similar point in the Burnley post match interview with the BBC .......

"DJ: "Are Manchester City in the title race?"

PG: "Yesterday no. Why today are we in the title race?"

He could not keep the sarcasm out of his reply and I can't blame him.

Still recall with great fondness the way Mancini dealt with this line of questioning back in 2012 when he said it was over, done with, completely out of the race. I think we were eight points behind with 6 games to go........Totally threw the hacks. Loved it.

It is a moveable feast for the media and leads to the sort of shallow questioning that clearly drives our coach nuts.

No.

The race will be for the 4th spot.

Are Spurs in the title race?

Looking back through where we were after 20 games in the last few seasons, I noticed that the last time we won the title we had actually conceded 1 more goal than we have this season.
