Stripes..

Not too bothered as long as it's not a solid white back.

Or as Bettis is still here, pink.

Not all fans have been sold on the design of the kits under adidas, in particular the lack of full stripes on the back, do United have a say in the design?
"We do listen to fans, we look on the fan boards and the biggest negative for adidas is the design.

"Adidas come to us with what they call a 'global design'. You are buying into something that Real Madrid, Arsenal and Leeds United will have the same so your flexibility on bespoke designs is limited.

"Whereas with the challenger brands you can more or less have whatever you want. Some of the comments we have seen from fans is that they would like to see us move away from adidas so that they can have that luxury of designing the kit to their own specification.

"It's all about scale and volume.

Not sure Paul Reeves head of commercial is confirming that.
Although Leeds had a second kit with full stripes on the back last year.
Maybe he's kidding us.

...on back of new first team strip.
If you read the article in the examiner it says we won’t be having stripes on the back Adidas don’t do stripes on the back of their shirts as uefa stipulate it must be a one colour panel so that squad nos can easily be seen in the champions league, why that affects us god only knows 🤷‍♂️

I had a meeting with someone at SUFC circa 2014, just after Adidas deal was made official. The kit deal wasn't the primary discussion but it was brought up. I was told that only selective teams such as Real Madrid get bespoke kits whilst us mere Blades would get ones similar to other teams. We have had them similar to Sunderland, Brentford, Forest in the past. Even Man Utd and Leicester had the pink kit in last 2 seasons.
