If you could sign any striker, who would you choose?

It's a prettygood list so any of that lot would do. Never heard of this Paciencia guy but if he's as good as the others, then fine.

At risk of attracting Pope's wrath, I'm going to say Bamford.

I just have this silly hunch that he's now at the right age, and having played under AK before could well be a good fit for us at this stage of his career.

Him or Vydra for obvious reasons,

As I know nothing about the Portuguese lad, I have gone for Bamford. Good age, good record at this level, knows the club and knows the manager.

Other than that I am not fussed by any of the rest of them so will be interesting to see what comes of the rumour regarding Paciencia.

Nothing to do with wrath.

I have always been against signing him on loan because I just didnt see the point. You get reliant on the goals of someone you are guarentee to lose and develop someone else's youngster.

Signing permenently is a different matter, although I'm less enthused than others might be

Derby want over £12m for Vydra, apparently - can't see us being in the mix at all.

Marriott & Pac Man - no real views on either as not seen them play & think AK wants experience?

Personally, I think we'll sign 2 strikers, but a few heading out soon - as we start pre-season next Monday!

Of the above - Grabban on loan and Olive permanently, both experienced at this level.

Preseason next Monday, that is the best news I could have received.

Gray would be awesome but his wages are silly season. Of the above Bamford...

Exactly - in terms of wages. Bamford, I see him as a very similar player to Brereton.

It's alright signing lots of foreign imports 'with promise & a good pedigree' - but the Championship necessitates a blend of experience and the ability to mix it up.

IMO Bamford needs to settle down at a club. While he's probably benefitted financially from moving to Chelsea, he's never been at any club longer than a few seasons.

He was being chosen by Pulis ahead of Britt until he got injured right at the back end of the season. IMO that means it's more likely that Pulis would want rid of Britt rather than Bamford.
