Do any of you religious people find any of the restrictions decreed in your religions strange?

I'd find thou shalt not murder far too restrictive for my lifestyle obviously.

Killing people because your leader tells you to in defence of your faith appears not to be murder though. You tell us who and we'll obey!!!

Now now chaps, let's keep this light hearted or it'll end up 17 pages of Heath and GT arguing again :13: :17:

You saying me being a hitman and not wanting a religion to oppress my living isn't light hearted?!

Onto ze list you go!

Nah cos I don't have any man made restrictions. Religion is for those who are scared of going to hell. Spirituality is for those who have been there.

I find alot of people strange. Then again I am an interpretational Christian. I find people strange who are Christian and who aren't.

Hope that clears things up :15: :19: :15:

You have one life. which could end tomorrow. or today. why restrict your life by obeying people who made things up thousands of years ago and gave false promises. thou shall go to heaven if you do this.... mmmm yeah right. biggest fantasy going. but at the same time your taught 'god forgives' so why not live a life of sin.... Then if the impossible happens and there is a heaven.... just plead for forgiveness. job done

I myself think that religion was the first ever franchise

It was certainly the first ever "product" to utilise network marketing.

I don't follow religion: That is man made laws. Real faith is a personal relationship, not man made laws.

I don't obey or follow people: That is what the real core of Christianity is about. Not man made rules. Guidance, affirmation, prayer, affirmation. The motivational post for instance is just an update version.

If something makes you feel better then it doesn't matter what it is if it works for you and causes no one any harm, what's the issue.

Yes God (which is a source I call love/thread of the universe if anyone asks me what God is to me) when I am out of zinc with the source I am out of zinc with me

You can't get to heaven (which is not a place int he sky) by good works or by reckoning you do no wrong. Because everyone does wrong even people who are Christians contrary to what some may some

But religion does cause harm. and lots of it on a global scale. i get part of what your saying. for example my mom believes in angels.... ok thats fine. up tp her... that belief is doing no one any harm and provides her with some positivity. but unfortunately we get way too many extremists (alot of them imported into this country) who will use religion to manipulate vulnerable people. but thats prob a different discussion all on its own. people are following these biblical/ku'ran rules though all there lives for what? to realise a moment from death that noone is coming to get them and they wont be going anywhere other than 6foot under. what a waste of a life.

I don't know how any that goes to church or calls them self a christian etc can say they don't follow a religion, if you are one of these religous groups then thats what you are, now myself i live by trying to be to people as they am to me, if somebody is alright to me i am with them, and don't want to bother nobody and make sure my kids grow up with manners and respect for there elders like i was, but these religous groups are out dated now and a control for the masses imo
