I must admit i'm suprised by this verdict,dint they watch the video of him smashin them fella's? Or is fightin not affray anymore? Ben's a top cricketer but he needs to grow up and learn how to handle the booze or go teetotal.UTCB

Should never have got to court. What a waste of public money but then if you're famous the police will spend thousands to hound you down
and make you pay. If it had been a normal bloke it would have been a night in the cells only.

I have problems with this originally he probably was antagonised the public seem to think successful sportsmen are a target when they are out living their lives like everybody else which is wrong but the level of violence used was excessive there's defending yourself and then there's going too far like rod says he needs to grow up and learn how to handle booze better. Not over for him yet tho got to face the ECB for bringing the game into disrepute and I can't see him getting away with that one
