Stoke v Swansea

The form guide over the last 8 matches shows that we are third from bottom with an absolutely appalling record.

How this has been allowed to continue by the club’s hierarchy is equally appalling:

W1 D1 L6 F3 A18

Only 3 goals scored in 8 matches and a massive 18 goals conceded is beyond comprehension.

We play Stoke next. Their results over the last 8 matches look impressive compared to ours, that’s how bad we are and how far we’ve fallen:

W2 D4 L2 F5 A7

We have put ourselves in such a situation that this game is a must win and a 6 pointer for the winner.

Stoke lost 2-0 at Bristol City last time out and didn’t have a shot on target.

Ex-Coventry boss Mark Robins was appointed Stoke’s third manager of the season on Jan 1, taking over from Narcis Pelach who had only been in charge for four months.

Ex-Swans striker Ali Al-Hamadi lines up for Stoke today after signing on loan from Ipswich in the January transfer window. He scored on his Stoke debut, a 1-2 win at Hull.
He turned down a new contract with Swansea in 2021 and moved on, finding success elsewhere and was part of the Ipswich side that won promotion to the PL last season.

Yesterday Jamie Paterson joined hometown club Coventry City on a short-term contract until the end of the season, after training with them these last few weeks. We could have signed him to boost our options, he did okay when he was here, 17 goals in 104 appearances during his three seasons here from 2021-24.

7’ Cooper breakaway hits the post flagged off side - replay shows on side, doesn’t matter anyway.

HT: 0-0
What a boring, mistake ridden match, both teams rubbish.
Swansea one shot off target, to three shots off target for Stoke.
Neither side a shot on target.
Swansea passing back to Vigouroux ad nauseam. Under pressure he kicks the ball upfield either straight to a Stoke player or into touch.
Swans playing the ball back and fore in front of our goal inviting pressure, what crazy tactics.

52’ Cullen skies a shot over the bar
54’ Hamadi shot on target, Vigouroux saves full stretch
Game is opening up
58’ cross from Tymon, Eom misses it, goalkeeper collects
60’ 0-1 Tymon scores after goalkeeper fumbles the ball
63’ That lasted a few minutes, Vigouroux rooted to his line, easy for Burger to slot home 1-1 from a free kick, Cabango foul.
67’ Eom fires a shot off in front of goal, way over the bar
68’ Bianchini on for Cullen
69’ Eom heads well wide
69’ Cabango heads over from Eom corner
72’ 2-1 Junho easy shot from free kick played between goalkeeper and defenders, simple goal, pathetic. O’Brien’s fault, he let Junho get in front of him.
76’ Darling for Naughton, Fulton for Cooper
85’ Manhoef shot saved
88’ Eom off, Key on
Five minutes added time
93’ 3-1 Baker long range shot from over the half way line, the dull Vigouroux way off his line. He’s having a poor game.

FT: 3-1
Another highly embarrassing display of ineptitude, and the slide is turning into an avalanche with this fraud in charge.
Sleep walking to relegation.
Williams just go, please, your taking us down with your suicidal football.

The lowest scoring team in the Championship this season and we concede three goals against them, this has got to stop.
Show some leadership Coleman!!
