Steve Kaplan resigns

Recent appointments as directors of both Swansea City AFC and
Swansea City Football 2002 Ltd -
Julian Winter (Chief Executive Officer),
Sam Porter (Chief Financial Officer),
Gareth Davies (Legal Representative of the majority owners),
Jake Silverstein (recently made a convertible loan to the club)

In surprise news, Steve Kaplan has resigned as a director of both the above UK registered companies, for reasons unknown.

Swansea City LLC, which is registered in Delaware, USA, remains intact, as far as we know, with its 27 owners led by major investors Kaplan and Levine still in place.

Regarding the Kaplan resignation, it makes one wonder if he is doing a disappearing act before the Supporters Trust’s pending court case.
Whilst he still maintains ownership and control of the club through the Delaware company Swansea City LLC, he becomes untouchable from UK jurisdiction in any court ruling.
