Steve Evans

The Leeds job must be one of the hottest hot seats in club football?

No sadness for Mr Evans though!

A leeds fan at work told me this a week back. Wonder why it's taken until today for them to tell the world?

Despite what we might think about Steve Evans the way that he has been treated at Leeds is absolutely appalling - making contact with other clubs and managers without clarifying the present managers role - he met his target in keeping them in the Championship - Leeds are a complete basket case of a club now - what a sad demise bearing in mind the glory days of Revie and Co.

Who would take on the Leeds job, you're virtually guaranteed to be looking for work again three or four months later!

Cellino had 36 managers in 22 seasons at his Italian club, his criminal past puts Evans brown envelopes to shame. How the football league ever allowed Cellino become owner of any English football club let alone potentially one of the 20 biggest clubs in England is beyond comprehension. As for Evans some club will pick him up as he has done reasonably well where ever he has managed. He has usually had money at the clubs he has done well at, and the ones he didn't have money at he made it appear in brown envelopes.

@paddypower: "To save time, Leeds United Chairman Massimo Cellino is expected to appoint and sack Garry Monk in the same press conference."

I agree Leeds' situation is a shame, but the club;s been in turmoil for over ten years now.

As for Evans, no sympathy whatsoever for the eyeliner-wearing fatty. :pointy:

Always used to follow what was happening at Leeds United, but I gave up a few years ago!
