That puts the Grimsby manager in a almost impossible position. There was only ever a doubt if the officials never saw it.But under these circumstances the ref had no choice. Grimsby 7 points from safety with games running out lose Payne for a number of vital matches. On top of that the club might need to take additional action against the players involved. Definitely feel for the manager and fans right now.Jake definitely made the right decision moving on from there.
