I have always thought he could be a good, solid player in that position. He is progressive, looks to play the ball forward when he can, he is confident and I especially love the way he backed himself by committing to stay at City. He has made that position his own (well as much as he can in a Pep side )

#3 backing him up has made him a better player. I also rate the lad, but If fully fit I love Mendy bombing down the wing, maybe he can do a Stones.
