Commentators/interviewees, pundits etc, what a bunch. Just heard Steve McLaren say, 'Uh, Yeah, the reason Newcastle went down is because... they didn't score enough goals, they let in too many goals and they didn't win enough matches!"

I know the public, especially the not so well read as regards football, can need leading by the hand a bit but that's taking the Michael. Did he think that up all by himself? No wonder he floats around from club to club and never wins anything.
Is it that they are thinking of the next thing to say or are watching what's going on in the studio and are not concentrating on their current statement? Either way, they need to get their act together. They're on national TV for goodness sake.
Having been in studios and run some live sound events on occasions, I know that there are many things going on but you never lose your concentration on what you're saying (at least, you shouldn't!).
I've heard a few like this lately but this almost goes down in history with the old gaff on black and white TV.... "and for those of you watching in black and white, the pink ball is the one immediately behind the yellow".... They're not all locked up.
