Squad - Where We Are Now

Every youngster that comes in needs an older, wiser (more experienced) player alongside home that can do his job and take care of the youngster in times of need. Too many inexperienced players and not enough older, wiser players will only end up in tears.

Some rumours on Banter that Maguire has gone. Don't know if there is substance behind this or BS.

If that is true, MK has has done a thorough review of last season's games already - and come to the correct conclusion very quickly!

As regards Bridcutt, I would guess MK has decided his prospective salary would be too much of a risk injury-wise, and the wages could be better allocated elsewhere.

Missing in midfield. We will be left with the dregs.
Not necessarily. There are plenty of players out there looking for new clubs, who didn't seem to be the best for their respective clubs. But that could be any number of things - manager conflict, out of position, wrong formation, wrong tactics - a player (decent or poor) can only perform to their best if and when they are fully fit, playing in their best position, with the right team behind them. Yes granted sometimes even that isn't enough, and they are truly incapable of playing at the level they were signed for (the "dregs"). But EVERY player signed is a punt, they may not work, they may be great, it's what football is all about.
Remember, none of us really know what kind of football, tactics, formation etc. Kennedy is going to play (hinted at aggressive attacking, yes). So lets get behind him and trust him, not worry if we think he is left with "the dregs". Because if he is a good enough manager, there will be no such thing.

Whoosh

A lot of negativity on here.
I have little doubt MK thought long and hard about taking on this role and as soon as the contract was signed he will have been assessing what he is inheriting and need to do to deliver what he wants.
lots of players still under contract until 30 June.
So, it’s going to be a hectic few weeks before we welcome Exeter.
I’m sure MK recognises where we need to strengthen. He will have just as many if not more contacts than Appy. So, I expect a number of departures of contracted players and also some very good signings.
The only thing we can say with any certainty though is that any player we are publicly linked with will also be a target for Pompey 🙄

"The News" wouldn't have it any other way, although they may now be joined by the "Blackpool Gazette" as the true oracles of all things Lincoln City.

Looks like we've just announced Bridcutt is leaving on facebook...

"Liam,
It's been quite the journey...
Thank you for your contribution during the last two and a half years at the club.
We wish you well for the future."

Chris maguire is the saviour of Lincoln City Fc.
Well, without him before the transfer window in 2022 we would have been totally shafted and got even less points.
