I wonder if 1-11 are any indication at all of SE’s preferred starting IX?

It looks as if it could be, or at least not far off it. And if so, nice to see “encumbants” Hanlon and RCC in there. Also looks a good, young, dynamic team. On paper anyway.

Are we allowed an emergency keeper if down to one, heaven forbid? EG if our keeper receives a red and ban are we allowed to bring in an emergency back up keeper for the bench?

In terms of last season's squad numbers, only Ogilvie taken Zakuani's number six shirt and Byrne changing from number 33 have seen a change. All the rest who have numbers have kept the same as last season.

Ok, now I'm calling this as a whoosh but, just in case it's not........
I'm guessing he chose the number 23 as a nod to David Beckham, it was the number chosen by Beckham when he got to Real Madrid as the 7 was taken by Raul. He chose 23 as it was worn by Michael Jordan.....apparently
