A children's football match in Solihull had to be abandoned after primary school players were left in tears by squabbling parents.

Unsavoury scenes at the Coldlands Colts Black match with Mayfly Tigers are now the subject of an investigation by the Football Association.

Hear plenty of stories of it going that way in America, but it sadly seems it's growing over here now as it seems every few months there's a new similar story.

Never experienced anything like it when I was playing football, Christ, got some constructive criticism from my old man in one game from the sidelines and without realising he was my old man the lad next to him thought he was being harsh and let me know, then they both ended up talking for the rest of the game as he was the uncle of one of the lads on our side.

But that age group, results aren't recorded and no league tables - it's supposed to be for fun and parents are getting the game called off??

Fucking disgrace really, it's supposed to be about fun. Fair enough get angry if your lad is taken out but surely the message is learn from it and protect yourself better and if an opponent is taking the piss, stand up for yourself.

How's that going to be achieved by arseholes on the sidelines trying to take it into their own hands?

When David played from 10 to 17 and we had all sorts going on. The women were vile. Screaming break his leg etc.

There's something wrong with you I think if you approach sport at that age with that mentality.

Then again if you call for the breaking of somebodies legs at any age there's probably something wrong with you.
