Gollini 6.5, Tanganga 7.5, Romero 4.5, Sanchez 5, Davies 7, Skipp 8, Dele 6.5, Ndombele 6.5, Lo Celso 4.5, Gil 7, Kane 7.5, Son 6, Nuno 7

- Tanganga becoming a real beast. Tangle with Tanganga at your peril.
- Excellent positional play throughout by Davies, completely nullified Traore.
- Hopefully there is better to come, because I thought Romero was awful, and dragged Sanchez down with him.
- If Skipp continues to improve at the rate he has started to demonstrate recently, he will become a real fan favourite.
- Ndombele caught the eye as usual, unfortunately he is caught in possession too often.
- Another sixty minutes of complete mediocrity from Lo Celso, at what stage do we give up on him.
- Finally a game where Harry looked dangerous throughout, not so Sonny in his cameo.

Gollini 6.5 , Japhet 7, Romero 5 , Sanchez 7,Davies 5, Skipp 8, Tanguy 6 , Gio 4, Dele 6, Kane 7, Gil 6
Subs Son 5, Hojbjerg 4 ,Reg n/a
Nuno 5

Average player ratings v Wolves in the Carabao Cup across 7 forum posters and 7 media/web reports. First column is forum, second media and third combined.

Gollini 6.92, 6.57, 6.75
Tanganga 7.35, 6.78, 7.07
Sanchez 5.42, 5.78, 5.60
Romero 5.28, 6.42, 5.85
Davies 6, 6.64, 6.32
Ndombele 6.50, 6.92, 6.71
Skipp 7.07, 7.50, 7.28
Dele 6.35, 6.64, 6.50
Loco 5, 5.71, 5.35
Kane 6, 7.07, 6.53

Son 5.42, 6.28, 5.85
Hojbjerg 4.71, 5.85, 5.28
Nuno 6.71

Forum MOM was Skipp on 40% but with Tanganga next on 33% . That doesn't quite correspond with the forum ratings who had Tanganga highest but does with the media and combination who had Skipp.

Thanks for your input.

Well done Nick.

The average tables are very interesting.

Makes the whole idea of rating the players a good exercise . As Ex said , well done mate , it’s becoming a good thread .

Each summary after a game produces an average for the player just for that game. A table is produced usually at half way and season end. Last seasons appears at the start of this thread. I have been doing this for 3 or 4 years now. Initially because I didn't trust my own judgement of players and needed a broader, longer term assessment.

v Arsenal

Hugo - 6.0 - TBH, I thought his distribution today was poor.
Tanga - 6
Sanchez 4.5
Dier - 5.5
Reggie - 5.5

Hoj - 5
ND - 4.4
Dele - 4.4

Son - 6.5 - personally I thought he was the most trying to score.
Moura - 6
Kane - 4.4 - Goes through September without a goal in PL. October ?

Skipp - 6.7
Gil - 6.5

Nuno - 3 - Completely lost during the game and in the post match presser. His set up skewed the rating for every player. Glad Gil and Skipp were able to rise above it.

Skipp and Gil deserve a 7. They came on and tried to turn things around in very difficult circumstances.

The rest don't deserve more than a 3.

Lloris 4
if he chips one more pass out to the full back which puts us under immediate pressure I’m going to scream …… I already do,
Tanga 4
Royal 5
Sanchez 4
Dier 4
Reggie 4
Hoj 4

Skipp 5
Gil 6
Ndom 4
Moura 5
Kane 3 ( generous )

Reg 4.5
Hoj 4
N'Dom 4

Dele 3

vs Arsenal

Lloris 3.5, Tanganga 4.5, Dier 4.5, Sanchez 4.5, Reguilon 5, Hojbjerg 5, Ndombele 4, Dele 4, Moura 5.5, Kane 3.5, Son 6, Gil 6.5, Skipp 7

- Lloris played and looked as if he wants out, ditto Kane. These are the Club's captain and vice captain, the lack of leadership is distressing.
- Reguilon looked OK going forward on occasions, but any defence that gets ripped apart as frequently as Arsenal ripped ours apart yesterday, clearly isn't good enough. Zero goals conceded in the first three games including the Champions, nine in the next three, difficult to make sense of it.
- Ndombele probably thinks he did us a favour for staying on the pitch as long as he did.
- Everybody wants Dele to be back to the old Dele. If he's got it in him it won't surface in the role he's playing, and with the midfield partnerships available to him.
- Moura and Sonny doing their best. If Sonny signed a new contract resultant from Kane not leaving the Club, he must be regretting it already.
- Gil is certainly a trier, I'm not convinced yet though that there's a lot of end product there.
- Skipp, a future Spurs captain, maybe sooner rather than later.

I can't be sure about Lloris. Was the body language we saw his frustration with some of the prima donnas in front of him and Nuno's tactics? I've never felt he's not playing for us fans, and even yesterday he made some big saves to stop the cricket score. With regards to Kane and Tanguy, he's clearly as helpless to do anything about them as Nuno is. They seem to be a law to themselves at our club.

Be worth keeping an eye on Hugo in the next few games now you've raised it. He's been a loyal servant to our club and I wouldn't blame him if he fancied the South of France retirement package.
