Spennymoor Town

Where did Spennymoor Town come from? They are having a "blinding" season but haven't been on my radar before.

I believe they are a relatively 'monied' side. i.e. bankrolled to some extent. The criticism I have heard other County fans say is, over the last couple of years, when the weather has got bad in Winter, their ground is unable to cope with the rainwater and Spennymoor have a number of games called off. This disrupts the fixture list though of course they get the worst of it. The argument is... you have money being thrown at you.. get your ground in order before splashing the cash on players. .. and right on cue, tonights Spennymoor vs. Bradford PA game has been called off (waterlogged pitch). This may come back and bite them in a few weeks! Tough!
