Sort of player to replace Waterfall.

I've been told the name of a player that Danny is after. Very experienced and played at a much higher level for all of his career. fingers crossed.
 
Very experienced,great header of the ball played at a higher level,a leader,good positionally,good in both boxes.
we need a clone of this man mountain.

I'm sworn to secrecy unfortunately, but was correctly told about Akinde, Wharton, O'Connor and McCartan amongst others. My point is that we are after someone experienced, not a young up and coming player. This guy was a virtual ever present in League 1 last season.

So we're thinking a right footed CB, who's spent most of his career in the Championship bar the last two seasons and last season a virtual ever present in L1.

• someone that cowley has targeted since last thursday

• his team were league one last season
• the player played virtually every game.
• he hasn't previously played below league 1.
• has played above league one all bar the last two seasons

possible reason this player would be available to us:
• either an ever-present player that has dropped out of the managers plans.
• injury
• a new manager.
• a club - like northampton for instance - that are looking to move players on.

Hmm so he’s been in League 1 the last 2 years, and then I’m assuming Championship before that. No doubt he’s 28 minimum, and I’d bet his current team is more local than not....

Anyone?
 
Some of us are happy for the odd rumour, even if its not always going to be 100% right or accurate, just ignore these people that seem quick to criticise because it helps in times when there's not much else to talk about for instance. At the end of the day this is an Imps forum and we all want us to be successful (well most of us on here anyway). I think its because certain individuals don't like to feel that sometimes people know more than a few others.
