Songs You Secretly Like!?

Following on from col8's " Songs That Really Piss You Off " I saw in that thread someone said they like "Take That"

Well on 19th June 2015, I was reluctantly taken to a live cinema in Spain showing Take That appearing at the O2 Arena and also being shown live around the world no less! And do know what, the show was great ( my daughter was actually there in the audience as well )

They sang live and were very good with some nice pop songs.

I have got a couple of songs that I'm very reluctant to tell about so lets see how honest people are and maybe I will!?

Backstrreet boys i want it that way, Take That patience, Boy George Comacomelia, Boyzone and Ronan Keeting songs like ''when you say nothing at all'' will think of more,,,,,,but i assure you om straight before you start thinking anything!

I had to keep quiet about this one while I was still at school in 1969! :19:

But I don't care any-more and I still like it today :35:

Don't really have any secrets, I either like or don't, what others think of that is of no interest to me! lol

I quite like a few Take That songs, I like Robbie Williams stuff etc.. But I am mostly a rock man really!

Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers "Islands in the Stream"

I actually like it! And as I get older, I seem to be appreciating country music artists more like Kenny Rogers and particularly Glen Campbell, who sadly is now suffering with Alzheimer's. Have a listen to him singing "These days " as he seemed to know he was slipping into this awful illness.

If you want to get the essence of Glen Campbell's Illness listen to the tracks from "Ghost on the Canvas"
As above this is about his illness and the whole album is class.

Meet Glen Campbell was a fooking corker of an album allowing him to sing all the song he liked outside the "Country Genre"

Both amazing albums.

Waiting For A Star To Fall by Boy Meets Girl. Also, living in Florida for the last 11 years I'm now a country music convert and like JF says, I don't care what what people think about my taste in music. Even if it's an embarrassing slushy song, if it moves you, it moves you. I was always a rock/ punk guy growing up. It's funny how your tastes change over the years

Thanks for that col.

Yes I agree it does give you a better understanding of Glen's illness.

I have grown fond of this one from Glen as well:

I guess there must have always been bit of Country Music liking in me because many years ago with my first ever wage packet I remember going into a record shop and buying this song which I still really like...Interesting video as well!

Believe it or not, Grow Old with Me is a John Lennon song.

He never recorded a decent versionof it so its largely unknown as a Lennon song.

Lads when you paste the youtube links to post the video put a bracket at the begining and delete everything before the = sign so it reads [youtube=87r8r984] then bracket the end
