I quite literally mean songs that take you away from reality.

Mine right now is "Ripples" by Genesis.

Rather than single tracks I think I will just go with artists that have that ability.

So many songs by the Boss just put me into a different world.

Same with Pink Floyd.

Chemical Brothers.

Probably more but they stand out.

Kinobe - Slip into something more comfortable.

Cafe Accordion Orchestra - L'Iindifference.

You-tube 'em. Go on, you know you want to.;)

As an old twat , 1960s is my era for music etc , cant be doing with all this modern crap (just my opinion of course) , but "Pretty Flamingo" by Manfred Mann , together with the video , helps me escape back to 1960s London . THE greatest city in the world . Clubs , Pubs and .................

Lots...

The full Space Ritual album by Hawkwind.

Robot, Wind of Change, Prometheus and Hassan I Sabbah, all by Hawkwind.

Sona, Every River and Going Home by Runrig. Or thei live version of Loch Lomond recorded at an outdoor gig, alongside Loch Lomond, accompanied by several thousand backing singers...

Last Days of May - Blue Oyster Cult

Doctor, Doctor - Roz Bruce Infusion

Uncle Harry's Last Freakout - Pink Fairies

Cosmic Clown - Nukli

Throbbe - Ozric Tentacles

Captain Kaputnik's Holiday - The Space Pirates.

And many more....

I like listening to live albums to escape. I made sure the car stereo was good!

eric clapton just one night - 1980 Japan
blues traveler live from the fall - superb blues band
Ben Harper and the innocent criminals live from Mars - excellent artist
