I'd like to introduce my side-project to the forum.
As the name suggests (a nod to the philosopher and the legendary Brazilian playmaker), the channel is dedicated to the history, strategy, and style of football. While we all love the 90 minutes on the pitch, I wanted to create a space that looks at the "why" and "how" behind the game.
What you’ll find on the channel:
Tactical Dissection: We don’t just watch the play; we break down the movements and systems that make modern football work.
Deep Dives into History: Looking at the iconic teams and players that shaped the sport we love today.
A Different Perspective: Whether it's analyzing the "style" of a particular era or the evolution of a specific position, the goal is to provide thoughtful commentary that goes beyond the standard highlights reel.
I’m passionate about the tactical side of the game and, as a Latics fan, I know how much we appreciate good, honest football and the nuances of the EFL. I’d love for you to come over, check out some of the videos, and let me know what you think.
If there are specific tactical shifts you've seen at the Brick Community Stadium or Latics history you’d like to see analyzed through a "Soccerates" lens, let me know in the comments or here on the forum!

And the introduction to the channel:
Up the Tics!
