I doubt that they have any more idea than any of us and as such they are just picking random names right now.

Of those three, only Gerrard makes sense in system-wise terms - both Martinez and Hjullmand play three at the back. Big fans of three at the back here, aren't we?

Really haven't got a bloody clue who we'll end up with and looking at the range of debate in the thread I think whoever we appoint will divide opinion. We haven't exactly got a Ron Atkinson type candidate seemingly in the frame. Not paying much attention to the so called in the knows in the media because frankly they haven't a bloody clue either! Only on Saturday evening Ashley Preece of the Mail who's got plenty of contacts at the club was telling us Dean's job was safe for now! When Deano was appointed it was completely out of the blue, no firm info at all and that's the way we seem to operate under this regime so think we can take the 'sources' info from the likes of Talkshite, Sky, Ashley Preece, Gregg Evans etc with a pinch of salt for the next few days!

At this stage, bookies odds and punters' forecasts are irrelevant. This regime does its own thing and we will know when we know. I suspect they are lining up a biggie...
 
Just to add to my earlier post, headline on the brum mail links this lunchtime…’Roberto Martinez set to arrive in the UK as Aston Villa plan next manager interviews’….and like a prat I clicked on it just as I twigged that Belgium are due to play Wales in the next fortnight! Schoolboy error! Clickbait bollocks most of it!

How long before the usuals start having a meltdown over how long its taking us to appoint the next man?
I'll give it until Wednesday before we hear "there's no plan" or "everyone is turning us down"
 
Steve Clarke anyone? Not seen his name mentioned but after some dodgy club jobs, despite some rave reviews, he sorted out Kilmarnock (yes I know...) and now Scotland. Just a thought.
