So who are forest fans voting for....

I have seen this a bit late. I voted for Labour. I am very unhappy about the conservatives getting a majority but that is just my opinion. I am living in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This area remained Labour.

I think this election really showed the unfairness of first pas the post. The conservatives would have still won with proportionate representation and I accept that. But other parties that a lot of people voted for would have had more of a voice and I think that is only right.

I recently came across this chart that shows the national outcome.

GREENS – 1.1M votes = 1 MP
SNP – 1.5M votes = 56 MPS
UKIP – 3.8M votes = 1MP
CON – 11M votes = 330 MPs


While these figures maybe meaningless, apparenty when average turnout, 63%, is taken into account, and Tories claim 37% of those that voted, it shows that the Tories can now bring in new laws, with less than 25% support of the people.
