So who are forest fans voting for....

Not a lot between any of them really, but what suits me best tends to be conservative....and I shudder at the idea of labour snp coalition!

Want to say UKIP but as southern red points out there would be nothing worse than a labour snp coalition! Shivers down the spine is the correct phrase! Why would anyone want a party that didn't even want be a part of us a matter of months ago, leading the country! I think possibly conservative.

I just wish we would save ourselves a whole lot of money and leave the EU. Switzerland is one of the best trading countries in the world and they are not part of the EU. I think we'd manage just fine considering the relations we have with the likes of America and to be honest who is actually going to stop trading with us just because we aren't part of a fooking treaty. Everyone wants to trade with us! We are Britain for Christ sake

Around 80% of business wants to remain in the EU and fears the consequences of leaving.....its a myth it costs us more than it generates in trade.

No it isn't. We are paying ridiculous amounts and are contributing so much in aid of other countries. We could benefit financially so much more being separated from it! Who's to say businesses cannot excell under a regime of our own? Do you think that 80% of our laws should be enforced in Belgium? They are having our pants down and are striking fear into businesses by claiming they will struggle without being part of the EU. Total rubbish. The amount we contribute is silly, not that we can argue it of course! We have no say in any if it

Labour for life. Been disenchanted with Miliband but really pleased with how he has come on this election.

I hate the Tory party with every fibre of my being and this bunch of Tories are the worst of my lifetime by a mile. I hate them more than Derby, Leicester, Liverpool and everything else to hate in the world x100.

To me they are vermin

Propaganda has well and truly worked on you I see.

Sorry, but Isolationism is Sooooo 19th century.

And if we want to trade with Europe we'll still have to obey their laws, as Norway do- we just won't get a say in them any more.

I shudder at the thought of the sad, isolated, inward looking country so many people want us to become.

Isolation from Europe is something you can pull off when you own a quarter of the world. When you only own the Falklamd Islands and a deeply unimpressive economy battered by austerity, it's a bit harder to reap the benefits

Wow! Me and you agree on most things forest but couldn't disagree more when it comes to politics! Your beloved labour left us in our worst economic downfall since the war. I'm quick to bring this up, as ed miliband doesn't even condemn this or their spending while they were last in power. He continuously talks the talk of how he plans to live in some utopian society in which everybody who works hard will have wages increased and the like but as usual fails to address how the system will work. Always spend and borrow! They never learn and as usual we suffer. They never illustrate where they will get the money from to pay for all the luxuries they promise.

Regarding Europe, your being silly suggesting we will be isolated and have ignored my point regarding Switzerland. We have America, an ally and trading system with them not bettered by anyone in Europe. Why does not being part of Europe isolate us? It means we control our own laws. You've been brainwashed into believing that the EU is the be all and end all of importing and exporting. What you are basically saying is our country is not strong enough to stand on its own two feet. That isn't the case! However if it is, we all know which political party are responsible for that don't we?

It really makes no difference whichever puppet of the banks is voted in. Mark Carney will remain by far the most powerful man in this country and who elected him?

Can any of you please tell me why we are in debt to the Bank of England?

Actually, Labour left us in growth and with a lower debt than they inherited from John Major.

I'll give the stories this- their propaganda train about the economy has been very effective. They've realised that the average Joe knows nothing about economics (not claiming that I do either) and that they will "get" the idea of cutting spending when in actual fact spending cuts were ideological.

The deficit before the global crash was very normal. Blair admits that there might have been a case for modest spending cuts after 2005, but the deficit was really no problem. Tories pledged to match labour spending plans as late as 2007, and also wanted less bank regulation.

The deficit ballooned due to the global crisis, originating in America hitting tax receipts severely. The debt increased because Brown bailed out the banks rather than let them crash and fook over millions of ordinary people.

Brown and Darling left a fledgling recovery over the previous 2-3 quarters- growth greater than we are seeing now actually.

Osbourne's austerity did exactly what most credible economists said it would- it snuffed out that recovery and put us right back into recession. It wasn't until Osborne quietly abandoned Austerity in 2012 and went for a plan not dissimilar to Darling's that the economy started recovering again.

But on every economic measure, including their own, the Tories have been an unmitigated economic failure- yet are claiming they have initiated an economic miracle. The only miraculous thing is the slowest recovery for 300 years and that the British people in general haven't seen through this yet

I have no time for Labour or god forbid a coalition with that tight lipped Scottish Bitch for SNP.

I'm voting UK Independance

I find the fear of a Labour government with SNP support slightly arse about face.

You want to break up the UK? Vote Conservative. Nothing is going to propel people in Scotland - even those who at one point might have considered themselves unionist and traditionally Labour - faster towards independence. They don't want to be ruled by a bunch of Eton toffs whose approach to the economy is to punish the poor, lift taxes for the rich, and pursue stagnation rather than economic growth. I'm very sceptical of nationalism, but at least the SNP is giving Scotland a bright and outward-looking vision of what it could be. It's sad that some people in England are turning towards UKIP - a party bedevilled by racism and Islamophobia, who as Pope rightly says base their vision of the UK on a disengaged, 19th century model of state power that will just end up rendering England even more irrelevant.

Economy is doing ok - im sticking with conservative

It isn't though.

It's appalling on pretty much every measure short of being in recession.

Poor productivity, poor wages, dire balance of trade, manufacturing and construction sluggish and now falling, heading to deflation, our credit rating has been cut and growth has been sluggish and is now falling.

Tories are experts at the old Hitler line- "tell a lie often enough and it will be believed".

No matter which way you go the Union is coming to an end, it makes no difference which party you vote for.
Only two things will save the Union, the end of oil or an SNP implosion and neither is going to happen.

I'm not a voter but from the outside looking in I'd say you'd be mad not to finish the job that the Cons started. You should be giving them another term.

UKIP is a complete waste of a vote, the UK will not be leaving Europe.

As for Europe you'd be just as mad to leave, renegotiate whats best for all members and get on with it.

You're all looking in the wrong place for both the problems and the solution. There is a simple solution to all of the problems of every country in the world and that is for governments to control the supply of their own money and it not be issued as debt by the privately owned central banks.

I bet there's not a single person on here can answer my question; how is it possible to be in debt (and pay interest) to the Bank of England? It's exactly the same in America with the Federal Reserve and every other country with a central bank. The world as a whole is in debt and this is to the central banks who literally create money out of thin air as debt. The commercial banks add to this creation of money out of thin air with fractional reserve banking. There simply isn't enough money in the world to pay the debt to the banks, it doesn't physically exist and so there is always going to be billions of people suffer because of this fictional debt.

Where's the 'Fawaz' option?

Politicians - all as bad as each other & have little connection with the general populace.

Got to say I agree with Pope here. I will be voting Labour and there will be a tactical element to that as I could not stand another 5 years of the Tories in charge; I really do despise them. I also think Miliband has stood up well in this campaign and has batted off the personal insults coming from Cameron well. Ignoring his Wallace-like face and nasal voice I do think he speaks well.

Ultimately I think whoever you decide to vote for, you're basically picking who you think is the best of a bad bunch.
