So what did Santa bring you?

So what did all my fellow Villans get given for Christmas then? Was Santa good to you?

Me! I got a proper make up brush washer (a small version of a washing machine but for make up brushes) 2 bottles of perfume which I am really pleased about (I had run out ltierally today and was hoping someone would get me some for Christmas and they did and my favourite) Hamper of delights of nice pickles, jams and so on.

Candles, toiletries, make up and the like: a new dishwasher :19: Yes you read that right. Our lad who lives at home bought it for us. Never had a dishwasher before and it is awesome. Could have done with 1 years ago.

I am also hoping for 3 points tomorrow to finish off Christmas properly before we move onto The New Year

The knowledge that my parents went home happy, after thanking me for making their Christmas.

Might sound trite, but that really is job done.

I also had playtime with Buddy yesterday, football (my physio ball) Thomas The Tank and my kitchen cupboard doors were the main areas of fun it seemed, along with the noise my landline phone made! lol Plus sneaked a few cuddles and tickles.

That'll do nicely. :35:

I received a number of books, CDs and DVDs (largely because, I imagine, they are easy to wrap). I also received some speaker stands, which made my day. Sad, I know. Favourite was the Stones' new album 'Blue & Lonesome', which I've been listening to on Spotify, but you can't beat owning the disc - I'm a little like JF in that respect - just love collecting CDs.

Had a lovely, quiet day with just Mrs JPA and the boys. In-laws arriving shortly, around the time I'm heading out to Villa Park as it happens. Result!! (Only kidding, they're ok really. Just really looking forward to the match today & hope Villa don't spoil it for me with a no-show!)

Also, woke up hangover-free today, which was nice.

Some biscuits and chocolate. In fairness, I'm a tough person to buy things for. If I need something, I'll buy it myself. The only thing that I want but don't have is an RX-8.

I got through two bottles on red and a bottle of Devil Cut Jim Beam with my eldest daughters boyfriend. We sat down to eat at around 14:30 hrs and were still at the table around 23:00hrs after playing games laughing and the like. My kids were happy Mrs C was happy. Perfect who needs gifts, I did get gifts though.

I got the usual, aftershave, gift sets, vouchers & Ant's sister got us both some dollars for when we go to New York next year.

We spent the day with his family. Went to his Nan's to see his little cousins open their presents, had lunch at his aunts and went back home about 9pm last night. I worked today but then my Mom had everyone round this evening. Has been nice.

Good food, good company and a lovely spirit of happiness. A couple of nice gifts too but the best part was seeing others' reactions to the gifts I gave them.

Got back from the shower of shit that passed for Villa v Burton to spend the evening with the in-laws.

They came good on the gift front - the new Stones CD, Pink Floyd 'Behind The Wall' DVD and the new book by Big Ron - The Manager.

Certainly improved my day after the match.

Yes I agree VOTN. The look on our eldest son face was priceless with his main Christmas present. I won an X-Box this year. I could have sold it however kept it for our eldest hasn't he hasn't got one.

He is a gamer, a normal nerd as he and mates call themselves. He has everything else though wasn't going to replace his X-box as more important things to spend his money on now he is married, with a home to run, even though he earns well.

His face was shocked. He had no idea. It was brilliant.

The whole giving gifts thing really has got out of control. How many people I wonder popped into church this Xmas

:10: Only those living the lie, you're not one of those who still thinks Xmas is about Christians are you? :3:

It's pagan, always was, always will be, no matter how many "belief groups" try and hijack it

And a Merry Winter solstice to you and yours :17:

I popped to a local church BUT only to drop about 10 packs of thermal gloves off as they were doing a collection for the local homeless.

THAT to me is what Xmas giving should be about.

I don't live a lie! I go regularly church and was there on Christmas day too.

The average Christian freely admits the festival started as an opposite to the winter solace.

However that does by means we cannot have a time to celebrate our beliefs however those beliefs are

What is your truth is not everyone's

I think we should all go and annoying Jehovah Witnesses when they next 'celebrate' the death of Jesus, they don't do Easter as you all know but do celebrate this date usually every four years or so.
