BT Sport have Howard Webb as their residential refereeing pundit and so I guess he does something similar to what Gallagher does on Sky. Good idea in my opinion.

The rest of them just wanted to get on with the game. Kelechi showed his inexperience there running to the corner flag to celebrate, can't blame him really but he should've been running back to the halfway line to get on with things.
Look at Walcott when he scored for Arsenal, he makes to run to the corner but then changes his mind and runs back to the halfway line.
It was Henry that highlighted this with Iheanacho on S*y, this is the same Henry that gave the fake Ronaldo stick for not looking to the player that provided the pass for his goal, opting instead to celebrate on his own in a CL game last season. He's a hypocrite and a **cking shit stirrer for trying to insinuate there's something amiss in City's dressing room in light of this.

I agree good points BD, we needed to win it and the antic of Danny Rose and the injustice of the away game, I think this one got to them.

I think that the pundits and officials alike feel that we need to "earn" a win every game more than the other team. For example, we've seen a tremendous amount of calls go against us - like both Spurs game, the Everton game where we didn't receive a stonewall penalty, and others where it seems the other team got all the decisions in their favor. I don't know if it's a conspiracy (although i've hinted at that in the past in the moment) but I do think that the "story" of Leicester and Spurs (and Arsenal possibly winning the league for first time in ages) makes people like the drama more than the football. We've lost a lot of points this season on controversial calls that have not come back in our favor, and I don't know if things will even out. There are 12 games left, but it's not looking good for us.
Speaking of Leicester - 10 penalties thus far this season. Of those, 6 of them helped tie or win the game (two draws, three wins since they got two vs. Everton), while the other 4 did not affect the outcome. Why is no one talking about this?

I would say because it does not fit the narrative......
Plucky Underdogs put together on a shoestring take on mega clubs and show them how it can be done. Highlighting that they have had more than their fair share of luck doesn't fit the story.
I noticed when Vardy stuck his leg out against Monreal at the weekend to earn their penalty how he was roundly praised for doing by the pundits on MOTD. I suspect that if Sterling did that he would be accused of cheating and having 'no need to revert to those tactics'.
On Mondays R5L Monday Night Football programme the journo Northcroft was referring to Spurs this year being a 'fairytale'. 5th highest spenders in the league.
Time for Pellegrini to do what Mancini did and stir the pot - declare that Leicester and Spurs are fighting for the title etc. His line in the final stages of the 2011/12 campaign was superb and did the media's collective head in.
