Sincil Bank: Pop Festival May 1966

Apologies, I can't find the original thread, but someone (apologies again I can't remember who) asked me to upload scans of the programme, so here are the first 11 pages. This fest happaned a year before the much vaunted Monterey fest. It's truly amazing it happened at Sincil Bank in 'little' ol' Lincoln.

I'll post the other images from the programme with The Who, The Creation and the Kinks when I get time. Its a great first for Lincoln City FC and the City. Something to be proud of.

Keith Fordyce of Ready Steady Go fame was a Lincoln lad, who was big into aviation and was instrumental in setting up the Tattershall air museum. Which eventually moved to Newark. Dave Davies in his auto biog confided to an 'interesting' relationship with Fordyce.

Oh for a DeLorean to go visit this & Bardney .... Anglia TV did a documentary on the latter, the weather didn’t look too bad either ☔️ ?

Completely random, but that might explain something. I'm pretty sure he was one of the celebrities who turned up to one of those annual Lord's Taverners matches that used to be played at Cranwell in the late 60 or early 70s.

They used to get some pretty big names at those back when I were a lad, including Prince Charles one time.
