Vital Football Legend
Of the year: despairing and wonder why I am bothering looking for any news on AVFC

Villa News Now is covered in the ''opinions'' of Dwight York and Tim Sherwood: WTF

I can not even be bothered to read them now. They think they know so much! Nah!

Dwight doesn't like our mentality, Timmy is still in contact with Grealish and so on add infinite

The only light relief is the Terry rumours

Your thoughts?

Not seen either but I imagine the Sherwood one is him attempting to rehabilitate his reputation and big himself up for another job. As far as I'm concerned he's a complete goon. Benefited from new manager bounce and Benteke being fully fit. I'd be amazed if anyone allowed him to manage in the top tier again.

The problem with both is :- Sherwood still thinks he is billy big bollocks and still spouts:--
"I brought Harry Kane into the Spurs team" Then got sacked, did fuck all here.

Dwight will talk to anyone who will pay him, he left us 19 years ago so he has his finger on the pulse....

I don't really take notice of what Yorke or Sherwood say, but this time I actually think Yorke is correct, a MAJOR problem at Villa is the attitude of the players. But there again, we've all known that for fucking years.

If successive squads of players have the same attitude problems, then surely the fault lies somewhere within the management structures attitudes.

Sorry! Wrong thread. I thought this was about those arseholes at Sky buggering my social arrangements up by the arbitrary rescheduling of matches to stupid o' clock on any day but Saturday. Of course they've even invaded my Saturday evening by sticking our match against Hull on at 5.30 on the first day of the new season. Bastards!

To be fair Sherwood and Yorke were both at a big golf event at the Belfry with lots of other ex-footballers so they're bound to keep getting asked stupid questions by the media masses covering the event.

I guess if they get asked the questions then there's no harm in them giving their opinions.

Did make me laugh Sherwood saying he was going to come and get Andre Green when he's back in management. Yeah like Green is going to drop into the conference!!! That's the job Tim Nice But Dim will get now.

Notice how he didn't mention Grealish. I'm hearing bad things about him and his dad's attitude - think they are Billy big bollox around the club with his dad demanding of Bruce that he plays his son. Also heard he's not for Bruce and he may be off in the window :10:

Got no ITK info on this, just gossip from others.

Also interesting to see how Grealish didn't get a minute of action at the U21 tournament suggesting he's not as good as he and his dad thinks he is.

If he's not one of the top 16 or 17 young English players in the Country maybe we've all misjudged him and he's actually bang average. About time he realised that too and knuckled down to try and improve.

Is he good enough to play for Aston Villa in the Championship? He was expected to tear it up last season but he didn't. Time is running out for Jack.

At times like this I think back to Mr Saunders.

What would Mr Saunders have done with Mr. Grealish?

I think we all know the answer. As Tony Butler used to say... "on yer bike son".

Ron Saunders had the equivalent back in the day in Gary Shaw and didn't do too badly with him.

There has got to be a 2 way thing and Shaw was clever enough to toe the line (mostly) whereas those who didn't listen like Andy Gray were bombed out.

Yeah. As deano says. Sherwood and Yorke were at the football/golf event. I keep telling deano I was offered two vip tickets that my business partner wasn't interested in so he could have come with me for free food and drink and met the golf and footie stars.

IF not for the fact I was away :3: :19:

Cropped you are partly right except he would have had him by the scruff of the neck. Made it very clear who was the boss and if he fucked up one more time then he would have kicked him out of the club with no second thought or debate.

Managers need to be the boss.... Grealish will ultimately shit in his nest again very soon.... :39:

So the anti-Grealish brigade are in full swing! It's quite some time since Jack stepped out of line. And he was our second-highest scorer. So he sat on the bench for England; at least he was picked!

I've nothing against Tim either. Don't know if he'll ever be a success, but it wasn't his fault the club collapsed. Have been wondering of late if his sort of enthusiasm is what we need. Bruce re Terry coming out with our players not being big enough to play for Villa, isn't exactly going to inspire the players. I've a feeling that a manager who can instil enthusiasm and commitment in the sort of players we've got, say someone like David Wagner, is what we need. Positives have to come from the manager; that's what being a manager is about.
