It’s a typical 100 percent effort Wilder bargain buy. If he does all the spade work and allows Hamer to go further forward and work his magic he will do for me. At least he won’t be strutting about pointing at his team mates like a certain Brazilian.

Hosanna. The first of many we can hope.

I'm not too enthusiastic about Shackelton, but not every signing needs to get the juices flowing, a Championship squad needs steady Eddies. It's good that he recognised his career had gone stale at Leeds and chose to leave the rugby league town for the sunnier pastures of the footballing city.

24 year old, 3 year contract - if he applies himself well and stays fit he'll potentially be a very good servant.

We have a history of modestly rated players coming here and becoming folk heroes, Basham being the last.

To be fair, we have a lot more come here, do nowt and disappear to the lower leagues never to be heard of again.

Anyway GLTTL, I hope he's the former, not the latter.

Well I wish him all the best and hope he,s half as good as his Sunderland leg end namesake, "Len". Then again, only old twats like me will remember Len?

signings so far with 5 weeks before our first game, a poor keeper and an injury prone left sided player. Surely, we would have been better off keeping Osbourne, proven at Champs level as opposed to a Leeds reject who is at best another gamble.

Been told this morning that 2 more signings will arrive early next week. No details as everyone is keeping tight lipped.
