Shrewdest piece of business

Vital Reserves Team
As always seems to be the case these days, with each new season we tend to have more new players in the team than old and when you think back to last season (shudder) that can only be a good thing this time around. So who has been the best acquisition that Notts have made during the transfer window? I don't think this is an easy one to answer as I believe that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts from what I have seen.

Even though neither had their best games on Saturday, O'Connor and Laing have looked the most impressive to me so far, although Duffy has been very reliable. I feel there is more to come from Tootle, but at a push, I would choose Laing as the best piece of business. If Collins carries on how he started on Saturday I may soon have to revise that though!

Laing got turned over first half on Saturday. O'Connor was not much better.

I suspect Collins may turn out to be the shrewdest so far.

Laing and O'Connor certainly had their poorest games on Saturday but that apart, they have been consistently good. I would love Collins to turn out to be an absolute gem though. He's certainly started off in the right way.

Sheridan has signed the best part of a team who are almost entirely better than last season's signings.
On that basis with a tightish budget he has been very shrewd. Duffy has been ever present, O'Connor has seen results improve sin e he came Laing is pretty good for this level and I still think Forte will come good.
Feeling really optimistic that this team will get better rather than fade like the last couple of years.
