Should Women Play Football

Have you attempted to watch the women's world cup, it's embarrassing. Some have a degree of skill, but no pace, and no strength. The goalkeepers look like they are waving their hand bags about. It's dreadful, really deadful

I should point out that this thread is not meant to be sexist

So it's just the question and choices that are sexist then.

On what premise do you justify your answer? It's terrible to watch, and surely there are better things they can be doing at home.

If you don't like it, then don't watch it. Yes they should be able to play football. Obviously it's not going to be anywhere near the standards of the mens game so comparing it to that is stupid.

Well not sure they should as proven by our PAULA! so tend to agree with ou Staypositive

As for understanding the game or not, well our Marmite Kid proves you again are right Staypositive!

And as for watching the game well yet again you are proved right by our Soldouto who watches all the chances miss.

So transfer them all to women's footy league clubs and we will be so much better off!

Why have you posted this question twice? It's just if you are going to Troll a whole sex try to look less thick whilst doing it....

Spurdon, stay positive actually makes a real contribution to this site...he makes me laugh - and especially as how many take the bait on here and try to reason with him.

...I tend to get a big laugh out of it all...... heh keeps me amused during the close season........when I am not watching the womens world cup or golf or tennis or cricket...

Most are not proper women anyway, they are probably from Lesbos.

Only joking of course. They can do what they want, I won't watch it unless I need a laugh. It somehow disrespects the sport, a bit like giant haystacks doing a gymnasts floor routine with a ribbon.

I am not too impressed by the male ex pros who try to make out they are interested. Not sure how sincere they are.

It was a mistake, and the software does not allow one to remove it

They would play it better though Greavsie. Snooker and darts are not physical sports, they are shite at them an all.

This is absolutely true. My friends and I once had this discussion. We tried to think of a single sport women were better at then men, but couldn't come up with one. My mate thought he found one, then I pointed out that ironing isn't a sport !!

If you haven't noticed, in general men are physically bigger and stronger than women.
Therefore men should be generally superior to women in any given physical sport.

So what ?

The conference standard men's game is frankly embarrassing when compared to CL level teams, maybe all that lot should pack it in as well?

The cricket today was brilliant, what a finsish by England despite DL trying to ruin it again !

Right lets try and take this even half seriously. Firstly maybe old positive should try and reconsider how he frames his question. "Should women play football?" If they want to they have every right. Do they play the game well? Not particularly at the moment IMO and not to a very high standard. But as they are playing against other woman it's not really the point. Competition between equals can be riveting. Hence why the Paralympic 100 meters(not run at the rate Usain Bolt can run it) was still hugely entertaining. If all football was only about elite level players their would be no conference div one or div two. If comedy is his only aim and it tickles your funny bone cool greavesy but it's not much to actually talk about.

Comedy is better than being wound up spurdon (IMO) life is too short to be too deep .......except when I spout on about marmite and in the past jenarsole....now they were and are real wind up merchants pretending to be footballers...heh heh...
