Team News
Sheffield Wednesday: (SportsMole)
Sheffield Wednesday are anticipated to be without Di'Shon Bernard, Bruno Fernandes, Nathaniel Chalobah, Pierce Charles and Gabriel Otegbayo for Saturday's match due to ongoing injury issues.
New signing Ethan Horvath was a standout performer as the Owls progressed past Leeds in the EFL Cup, including making two penalty saves, and the keeper is expected to be their number one for the season.
Pedersen made wholesale changes to the team that started in the cup against Leeds, and none of the outfield players who started are expected to start against Swansea.
Swansea City: (Swans Official)
Jisung Eom and Jay Fulton are doubts for the Swans after picking up knocks in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Plymouth Argyle.
Ricardo Santos is making good progress in his recovery from a knee injury, while Filip Lissah has had game time for the under-21s.
Despite their off the field struggles and transfer embargo, Sheffield Wednesday will be a tough away test for Sheehan's side. They'll have gained confidence from their cup win against Leeds in mid-week whilst the Swans are still struggling to create chances and score goals so we're expecting a hard-earned point.
Final Verdict: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Swansea City
"With both sides yet to find top form, Saturday’s clash could hinge on discipline and who makes their chances count."
