Sheff Wed v Swans

After the euphoria of the resounding win at Millwall on Saturday Swans fans will be hoping our fortunes have turned and our bad run has come to an end.
With barely a days rest we are on the road again on Monday travelling up to Yorkshire and overnight for Tuesday’s 6pm kick off at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls were also in London on Saturday at Shepherds Bush to play QPR, and were well beaten 4-1.
Manager Darren Moore has been absent last few games after testing positive for Covid-19. Assistant Manager Jamie Smith had this to say after the match:
We're disappointed with the goals we conceded. I thought we created enough ourselves to get something out of the game but it's that final touch and finishing chances. It's a massive blow, but we keep working and keep fighting. There's no way this group of players will give up. It's a big six games to come, they're all tough teams, tough games."
The Owls are second from bottom and 7 points from safety.
Their last home match was a shock 5-0 hammering of Cardiff so there will be no easy pickings there. They are struggling to avoid relegation after being deducted 12 points, reduced to 6 points on appeal, for breaching Profitability & Sustainability Rules.

They will be looking to build on that huge Cardiff win which included an Adam Reach brace. Last November we drew 1-1 with them at the Liberty, that man Reach scoring again from a corner in the 27th minute, Ayew equalising for us in the 60th minute.

HT: 0-1
Good left handed stretch to save and turned out for a corner by Woodman on 26’ from a shot by Liam Shaw.
One shot each on target, ours the goal, otherwise an even match
We are sitting to deep and passing until we lose possession, I would like to see us more on the front foot as the Owls look susceptible in defence.

Not the best of games to watch but at least we looked decent again and stuck with a back 4. We can now finally put some passes together and play through the 3rds rather than just aimlessly hoping a long ball can find Lowe.
