After the euphoria of a second half comeback and a much needed win against Bristol City, we have a rare week off before facing the form team of the Championship, Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Only one defeat in their last ten matches, which was at lowly Derby with a brace from Tom Lawrence, they will be a tough prospect.

Last 6 games:
Sheff U W4 D2 L0 F10 A3
Swans W2 D1 L3 F4 A7

Swans last 6 away W1 D2 L3 F3 A7
Sheff U last 6 home W3 D1 L2 F7 A3

There are four ex-Swans there. Three ex-loanees Conor Hourihane, Rhian Brewster (out injured), Morgan Gibbs-White, and Oli McBurnie (just returned from injury).
An indifferent start to the season, slumping to 16th in the table, and Slavisa Jokanovic was gone at the end of November, only six months into his tenure.
U-23 boss Paul Heckingbottom moved up to take over the reins and has since won 7 of his 10 league matches in charge. They are presently 3 points off a play-off position with games in hand over their rivals.

Make that five players. There’s another ex-Swan playing for Sheff Utd, Welsh International Rhys Norrington Davies, from Aberystwyth. He played for Swansea City Academy but was released in 2016 when he was 16 years old.

Swans: Andy Fisher, Finley Burns, Ben Cabango, Ryan Manning, Cyrus Christie, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (c), Joel Latibeaudiere, Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson, Joel Piroe.
Subs: Ben Hamer, Ryan Bennett, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Michael Obafemi, Kyle Joseph, Yan Dhanda.

78’ Ex-Swan Gibbs-White has run the show, his second goal 4-0
Damage limitation since half time.
It’s turning into a rout, this is a relegation side with clueless Martin in charge.
9 goals conceded in their last 3 away games, 3 straight defeats.

Grimes passes straight to Norwood-Davies and he duly misses an open goal!
Three easy chances missed by the Blades or could have been 7-0 .
Norwood-Davies shoots inches wide, this is a massacre.

FT: 4-0
We were ripped apart by a rampant Blades team, this after they could only draw their last two games 0-0.
What a shambles of a team we are.

Thrashed, but it’s okay because we had 62% possession!
An awful day in a terrible season with this man in charge.
It caps an awful week on top of the Supporters Trust selling us fans down the river.

........ what their fans said -
“It had been a dominant performance from the Blades who had seen off a poor and rather naïve Swansea side with ease.”
........ what their manager said -
“I'm not being disrespectful when I say that I'm not surprised how one-sided the game was."

couldn'[t bare to watch the highlights again, was bad enough watching it live.

Truly awful. Gifting them chances and 4-0 was fortunate. It could have been more had Gibbs-White headed in from about 5 yards.

Martin's football is just so easy to play against. Teams must fancy playing us, taking the 3 points and scoring a good few goals too.

Martin has got to finally realise that some changes are needed. We are nowhere near capable of playing the style he wants and its actually helping the opposition. I'm not saying we need to completely change the style but surely need to adjust it. Our defence parts like the red sea, we lose the ball in build up and the opposition have huge space in the final third. Us, in comparison, take an age to get into the final 3rd needing to play 20 or more passes to get there.
